I'll get to the point instantly.
I traveled all the way from Greece to Berlin just to attend one pj show and i was really upset to see all the non 10c members buying official shirts and us who waited all day in line from the other side of the stadium not getting any because they simply were out of stock.
Is this the special treatment the 10c members get?travel around the world to watch our favorite band and not have the chance to purchase official merch?
I want an answer from the 10c crew. Please someone tell how the hell we could possibly purchase any shirt when we got in from the other side of the stadium.

The merch was terrible this tour. It's kinda good as that means i didn't spend too much money. It's like 120 euros for 4 different words lol.

Yeah the Berlin merch was a bit of a shame, i really badly wanted one after it was such a special show for me. Can only say to keep checking ebay.

as a 10c member i kindly ask 10 club to give me tha chance to purchase the shirts through www.pearljam.com
it's a shame to be treated as a dog.i don't want to buy it from ebay and i don't want to print my own shirt.i just want to feel they deserve the money i give every year

I'm sure there'll be an option to buy later. Hard to please everybody I suppose, especially those who insist on queueing for hours - could you have asked someone to hold your place in line while you went over to the merchandise booth?
To say you were treated like a dog is a bit over the top and, I think, unwarranted.
When we found the things we loved,
They were crushed and dying in the dirt.
We tried to pick up the pieces,
And get away without getting hurt,
But they caught us at the state line,
And burned our cars in one last fight,
And left us running burned and blind,
    Chasing something in the night.

10c early entry meant you went to a completely different part of the venue and you wern't allowed to access the merchandise. It was right at the back with all the seating and where all the normal people entered so leaving the queue wasn't possible to go get what you wanted.

For rotterdam you couldn't get merch until the normal people in (I think! But i did manage to use the toilets on the other side)

I presume Manchester and 02 Arena was okay.

Fair enough - wasn't at those shows. 02 set up was excellent, there were merchandise tables all over the arena. Also, the early entry queue was close to the main entrance. I had no problem getting some merch, and then wandering up to the fanclub queue.

so the 10c members don't have any advantage of buying the shirts..
In my opinion every member who purchases 10c tickets should have the opportunity to preorder the shirts from the show

I was at the Berlin show with a non 10C ticket, got in at about 5,45 (should be 5 but trouble with the 10C line made public line to open 5,35- what i heard 10C line opend 5,30.

Any way, I got in 5,45 walked up to the merch and bought a Berlin stickerman T-shirt and a poster. There was some 10C members bying merch when I was there so it shouldnt be any problem for you to buy one?
What was youre problem, they had a mountain of t-shirts when I left the booth, about 6.00
Ok, if you want to stand in first row and get some merch before I get it, but that seems not to be the problem.

You should be happy, you got a 10C ticket, i didnt. I payed 150 Euro for my ticket on e-bay.

The problem is that exactly, you couldn't buy merchandise before you were 1st row and merchandise was only available to the people who got in via normal entrances. I know this because i was 1st row and there was no opportunity to buy it, unless i went into and climbed alll the way up the stairs to get myself a shirt (instead of rushing to the front). Went up after the show to the stands and it just said sold out. Just would have been nice to have had a merch booth around the 10c area perhaps, but im not too fussed.

when you pay 20$ every year to the 10c ok you get the tickets but it feels like you deserve something more.the last years 10c has let down a lot of members including me..we had trouble finding our way to the line because there weren't any signs.i couldn't risk it to leave the line and go for the merch.in lisboa and athens there were no such problems in 2006.it's a shame
  • Hahaha. You get FRONT ROW as a result of the Ten Club but only post to complain you didn't get an overpriced t-shirt? Unbelievable. You basically made a choice....front row or t-shirt. Sounds like you are regretting that decision.

If you are talking to me then i never said i cared too much about the merch and have mentioned it in other threads but i want to clarify that it would have been nice to have had a chance to get it seeing they went to the effort to organise a separate private area for 10c only which by the way if you didn't know, had its own BBQ, bar and there was someone spinning all sorts of pj tracks and the odd other 90s band.

You just can't please some people......

I don't know why your complaining the merch for this tour is awful. I'd be complaining how bad the t-shirt designs are, not that that you didn't get one!!!! I bought the Manchester Stickman but will probably not wear it much, it seems poor quality tee.

Is not a choice 1st row in europe means 12 hours before the show starts u are in the line...berlin was so wrong the merch thing..all the non 10c member got so easy the shirts and posters...becouse was after the ticket check...10c members have to pass all the arena and all the seats to go ..ofcourse i will overpay it now in ebay..

exactly true..u just couldnt couse u loose your place ig u go to the 10c shop.and i was in 10c line and get in at 6:30..so what a pre-entrance we was 10c members like 2000 people..so the early entrance was 15 minutes..is it possible all the 2000 people to be in the venue before the regular ones?ofcourse not,,so the result was this ,,u could nt take a good place if u was back in th e10c line and u couldnt buy posters couse the time u get in was sold out

its your opinion,,others like it..the thing isnt the quality of the shirts..is the NOT HAVE THE CHANCE TO BUY ONE...and 10c just make a mistake..easy to get it like drinking water.and if u travel from Greece for pearl jam u want a shirt of the gig,no matter if the shirt is the worst ever..couse they play once in 19 years in greece..if they play every 2 years in your country u dont have to travel to other countrys u dont care about shirts and u look the design or the quality of the merch..

    ???

In 2006 I travelled to Athens from Finland. Was queing the whole day (had 10C tickets) and couldn't buy anything because had to run to get a good place when the gates opened. You can always choose to go with the "general public" or non10C members.

In Rotterdam i was in "free section" too.
After i received a blue wristtape i could go in and out and Gomez wasn't that good so i walked to the merchandise-stands and had an easy look.
Bought me a cool keychain and the T-shirt had Rotterdam on it. I won't walk with that city on my chest so i didn't buy it 8-)
Anyway, when we left there was still enough to buy... not all sizes but not empty.
Also in Nijmegen '07 and Arnhem '06 no problems on that side.

Don't know the situation in Berlin and it seems to me that you are just one unlucky bastard. :(

The merch really wasn't up to scratch this tour anyways, some of the posters were cool, but overall you really didn't miss much. Pj merch has been of the best quality over the years, consistently and throughout all their tours, but this year not at all.

Ironically it's the best performances they've probably ever given :)
    I'm happy.
