After yesterday's announcement about Dave Navarro and Mark Weitz joining Billy Corgan and Spirits in the Sky, many have wonder just who else will round out the line-up.

SP.com can now reveal the current line-up of the band, however, it is subject to change and future additions leading up to the end of month tour dates.

Billy Corgan
Dave Navarro
Mark Tulin - (Electric Prunes)
Mark Weitz - (Strawberry Alarm Clock)
Mike Byrne
Kerry Brown
Linda Strawberry

Some familiar faces are in the line-up and the intimate nature of the upcoming performances result in some very special concerts.

I also wonder if anyone is going to -

* Wed Aug 26 - Tazzaria - Visalia, CA
* Thu Aug 27 - Muddy Waters - Santa Barbara, CA
* Mon Aug 31 - Hotel Cafe - Los Angeles, CA
* Fri Aug 28 - Open - Long Beach, CA -
* Sat Aug 29 - Pappy Harriet's Palace - Pioneertown, CA -
* Sun Aug 30 - Che Cafe - San Diego, CA -

Would like to know whats going on.

    Dave Navarro is pretty sick, but I want Corgan to stop being a douche and just get the original lineup together and tour. I put in Siamese Dream last night and was yet again blown away by its power and beauty. One of the more perfect albums every made...

    Navarro can stay but Chamberlain needs to come back.

    Too bad the original band line-up isn't. I kinda lose interest in the band's post-Jimmy Chamberlain stuff.

    Their 2008 tour consisted of no support - played from 8pm-11pm?

    I would be very surprised if one stage could contain both Corgan and Navarro's huge egos.......

    Lets hope the SP Navarro experiment works out better then the RHCP D Navarro experiment.

    He means that some of the original members aren't exactly in tip top condition. D'arcy, for one, is going down a Michael Jackson-ish path.

    Unless I misunderstood, the way I read it, this tour is Billy Corgan and Spirits In The Sky.

    Spirits In The Sky being the new backing band. Not that they are officially The Smashing Pumpkins.

    boo this idea! chamberlains a great drummer but he definitely has alot of the same pretentiousness as billy... he would never fit into the well tuned machine that is PJ... but by all means start a new side project / super group with him :D

    Ugh, Billy really is the centre of The Smashing Pumpkins. I dont feel they really are The Smashing Pumpkins anymore, and havent even when they did reform and had Jimmy, but its just good to see what Billy is doing these days, rather than going really underground and not knowing shit about the genius.

    yeah, I guess. I watched the viephoria dvd recently and really loved what James Iha added though. But, yes Billy was very much the center of the band.

    Actually very true, I dont know what Iha did but he made some fucking insane guitar sounds and tones, i think he was really reknown for making like really high pitch sounds etc remember someone telling me.. anyway darcy didn't do shit but i still think James did a lot too and added something. I also could never get over the guitar tone and drum sound from the reunion onwards, they all used different equipment and it just didn't sound good :(

    i saw them when they did that mini tour before zeitgeist came out, i remember reading at that time at least Iha had no interest, i guess it was both. now that i think about it he had even said publicly he wanted his band back and chamberlin was the only one that came so it's not just all on him anymore
