I wouldn't go to a fifth show, I don't care if it was free and you gave me the tickets right now. If this were to happen I think it would take away most if not all of the fun and buzz that is (or at least was) building up to these Philly shows.

There were a lot of rumors around here about a Phish show, so that's probably it. But PJ trumps Phish anyday, so we still get the best four shows coming in October.

    and PHILLY RULES folks

The band will be in my city for a whole GD week, it's sweeeeeeeeeeeeeet
Don't come closer or I'll have to go

I wouldn't put it past Comcast, but I highly doubt another show will happen, PJ or any other band. Too much hype has been created with the show on the 31st.

Did you ever think that the ticket csr is just having some fun? Probably bored to tears now that all the PJ fans are not calling and bugging about the Halloween show!! :D

    congrats, M!

Bobby and I were considering Philly in the beginning and I was going, "hmm...maybe I could beg M into letting us crash her place in exchange of bringing homemade canned tomatoes and cooking for everyone..?" He was like errmm...don't want to impose on her, although it'd be great to see her again!

But we decided not to go cuz we were so tired from a lot of driving over the summer and plus we couldn't forgive ourselves for missing Halloween with our last baby. ;)

Have fun and you better post reviews for ALL of the shows you're attending! I'm gonna be on the lookout for you! :)

    xooxoxo!

Pearl Jam Adds Two More Shows to Spectrum's Farewell Concert Series

Due to overwhelmingly popular demand, Pearl Jam, one of the biggest bands in the world, is adding two more shows to their run to help close the Spectrum on Tuesday, October 27, and Saturday, October 31. Pearl Jam will have the distinction of being the final act to play the Spectrum. Pearl Jam is already slated to perform in the Spectrum on Wednesday, October 28 and Friday, October 30. Pearl Jam will release their ninth studio CD, “Backspacer,” on Tuesday, September 22.

The endless goodbye to The Spectrum continues with blue eyed soul-pop men Daryl Hall and John Oates set to play the set-for-demolition arena on October 23. (That's one night after Leonard Cohen, and four nights before Pearl Jam begin their four show arena-closing run.) The former Philly boys have a four CD box set, Do What You Want, Be What You Are, coming on October 6. For a track list and an Oates interview on Spinner, go here. Below, Oates' J-Stache from Funny or Die, and "Sarah Smile."
