Your SONG of the tour?

I was thinking which one song from the 5 shows i enjoyed most. I think Nothing As it Seems would be my choice from Berlin. Finally they played something off Binaural, nevermind 4 songs! and NAIS i hadn't heard before. I always had good feelings about the show, i really liked the venue and being squished front row eddie with him ending up giving me his lighter is always magical. Sonic Reducer and God's dice arn't far behind too!

The manchester show meant a lot to me as well, specifically Black and Indifference due to some personal reasons but wont bother going into that. Sleight of Hand was just super amazing as well.

That's like asking which is your favourite child!

From SBE, I loved Corduroy as I have not heard it before live, and Betterman for the same reason. I was looking forward to both at Wembley in 07 but no luck.

From the o2, Betterman because of the crowd participation, Black as it was stunning and Light Years which is for me one of their most underrated songs.

I really can't choose between Black and Light Years from the o2 though.
    :D Rock on!!!! :D
Seen Pearl Jam 4 times in London, once in Manchester, as well as an Eddie show at Hammersmith.

I'm disappointed they haven't played Who You Are yet this tour. It's probably my favourite PJ tune, and I didn't think it would ever get into the rotation again. Then they played it a few times last year, and that got me pretty excited for maybe seeing it in Chicago (23) this year. Looks unlikely though.

Hmm. I think Black from London, because it's such a fucking beautiful song, and that beauty is only enhanced live with a participating and appreciative audience.

And Light Years from London. Also one of the most beautiful songs ever written imho. And it has a bit of a special significance for me, because of Roskilde 2000.

    Immortality and Footsteps at London!!

I usually hate McCready solos (WAY too fast), but his solos for these two songs were AMAZING. Footsteps may be the best live song I've ever heard, I had goosebumps.

Playing fast over pentatonics doesn't impress me that much. I prefer stone's approach, more methodical and melodic. Slower deliberate solos > fast fret noodling. And that's why Mike's Footsteps and Immortality solos were great, they were bluesy and not in his usual superspeed.

Present Tense, The Real Me and Soldier Of Love in Sheperds Bush were all incredible.

Finally hearing NAIS in Berlin, the Daughter singalong, the bit where the band interacted with the crowd "humming" before the last encore. Insignificance sounded great in that venue too.
Also, i didnt see this posted anywhere else, but the version of Hard To Imagine had a slightly extended ending in Berlin, it was absolutely beautiful.

Of all the shows ive been too, Berlin had the best final encore. Sonic > RITFW > YL. maybe the americans on here are tired of that, but i dont think thats been played in europe many times!
