Read This On Eddie

Here is an excerpt I read by Jon Stidham, one of the lawyers for the West Memphis 3, on Eddie:

"Of all people who have come forward and wanted to truly make a difference in this case, and believe there have been many, the one that stands out the most in my mind is Eddie Vedder of Pearl Jam. His contribution to the case does not stand out to me because of any particular dollar figure associated with it—(frankly I don’t know how much, if any, money he has contributed to the case)—instead it stands out to me personally because of his enormous compassion for humanity in general, and justice in particular for the WM3. He is, without a doubt, the most genuine, caring and compassionate person that I have ever met. This is a man who really wants to make a difference in this world, and his list of endeavors goes far beyond helping the WM3."

    People really think highly of him - Sean Penn made that remark about him being the man every man wants to be and the man every woman wants to be with.

    He is definitely special :) but we all knew that for years.....

    I sometimes wonder why Ed has such a deep emotional tie to this case. What happened to make him give two turds, ya know?

    why this case? I'm sure there are hundreds (thousands?) of wrongfully imprisoned people right now... why focus on these young men? Because of the music tie-in? Why such a stong connection to that fact? lol-like I will ever get an answer! :)

    I hadn't heard that. That's funny, I said something very similar to this just a couple of months ago. Only I said guys want to be him, girls want to be with him.

    very timely that my wife and I decided instead of a NYE resolution this year, we would complete our bucket lists.

    It takes nothing away from the sincerity of the sentiment (as it's something I also certainly agree with), but what Sean said was originally a quote from the writer Ray Bradbury, talking about Ian Fleming's most famous creation, James Bond.
