Philly Openers - Social Distortion?

Heard from a reliable source that Social Distortion may be opening in Philly. They are touring this fall and their last show on their site says 10/25/09. I am just telling you what I heard. Thanks

    Saw them at a small club show a couple of years ago. They are awesome live.

    In the Live at the Garden DVD, Mike is wearing a Social Distortion t-shirt during the show. Clearly, he must be a big fan. In a sense, I'd rather another band open since I'm seeing Social Distortion in my hometown like a week and a half before PJ in Philly. However, they're a great band, and it would still be fun hearing them play again. Hopefully they'll have some different openers for the four nights.

    In a thread titled - Ed & Mike Chat With Radio About “The Fixer” there is mention about a Mike solo album and one of the songs is Social D


    It was exciting to hear Mike say that a Pearl Jam EP might hit the marketplace in 6 months time or so to showcase some of the other songs not on the album, and that Mike himself is working on songs right now for his own upcoming solo release on the horizon!
    Songs Mike played were “Gut Feeling” - Devo, “The Passenger” - Iggy Pop, “California Uber Alles” - Dead Kennedys, “Redemption Song” - Bob Marley, “Kids” - MGMT, “The Ocean” - Led Zeppelin, “Fake Plastic Trees” - Radiohead and “Reach For The Skies” - Social Distortion.

    Saw Social D at HoB on their last tour. The date was either Mischief night or Halloween night. Absolutely amazing !!!!!!! Have seen SD four times. Would be over the moon if they were on the bill !!! I know for a fact Mike is a big Social D fan. I purchased a Social D Spark plugs long sleeve t and had occasion to wear it to FTM several years ago. Mike chatted with me about Social D before the show and gave me his patented McCready point and a thumbs up between songs during the show.

    yeah, they are very good live...we saw them once in Aspen at a small pub, fuckn great stuff
