The G20 is coming my way in a little over a month and the city is gearing up for protests. I've been told that I'll have to work from home that week which is fine. However, I live relatively close to where the meeting is being held so this going to effect my day-to-day activities. Sounds as thought everything is going to be shut down. I'd appreciate a little bit of perspective from those who have been through this before....

What should I expect the week of the meeting? How big of an inconvenience is it going to be? Should I have the wife and kids spend the week with the in-laws?

Any advice would be appreciated.
I can't teach common sense.

  • I went through WTO in Seattle. Total nightmare! I had to go to work downtown and each day it was a struggle to get home. Tear gas everywhere! My advice, stay far, far away!
