World series in the snow ....

WTF 1st game is scheduled for 10/28 and if it goes to the 7th game it will be played on 11/5 .... :shock:

    It's because of the World baseball classic.

    Though last time it started this late, I was happy with the outcome. Diamondbacks winning in 7 from 10/27/01 through 11/4/01.

    We've had flurries on Halloween in Chicago, but I can't remember ever having measurable snow here before Thanksgiving.

    The Sox took the series in the first week of November. It was chilly, but not wintery.

    Yeah, I don't see it happening.

    I do think that the World Series should not be played in November, but what can ya' do?

    And honestly, where other than maybe Chicago would there be a chance of snow on 11/5...and neither the Cubs or the Sox are going to be in the Series this year.

    Yeah, well unless the Twins make the series and the roof collapses, I don't think we'll see flakes coming down during the series! :D

    If a major city Bridge can collapse i don't see why a roof can't.....the other half of the equation is going to be near impossible though.

    Well the Rockies made the Series in 2007 and their workouts between the NLCS and World Series had to be held indoors for a couple of days because of snow.

    Whether there is snow or not, baseball was not meant to be played in November. The season is already long enough.

    yet they are building an outdoor baseball stadium. they should have taken a page out of Milwaukee's book and built a retractable roof

    Cleveland, Boston, NY could all have a little snow in early november. most likely not a ton, but still possible.
