    Last night I had a 6 point Crisp lager before dinner...

    went to the pub next to my house, which is discovered is now filling growlers... which is not good news for me :lol:

    had a horseshoes and hand grenades by crazy mountain, followed by a buffalo bayou ginger citrus IPA...

    then headed over to the big craft beer spot called the hay merchant with one of my buddies for some darts... there I had a southern tier 2xIPA, a Goose Island Matilda, a Sam Adams New Albion, and a Osker blue Deviant Dale on cask with extra dry hops...

    highlights of the night were definitly the cask dale and the ginger citrus IPA... i was a little disappointed at the hay merchant as they had 512 bourbon barrel double pecan on the menu for the day, but it was tapped before I got a glass...

    also confirmed the hay merchant did get one 1/4 barrel keg of Founders KBS.... which has been stashed in the cellar until a to be named event.... I'm gonna be watching their twitter feed like a hawk now.... :lol:

    You know I'm very jealous of your beer prowess. :lol:
    About the ginger-citrus IPA - did the ginger cut the bitterness at all? I love IPAs, but there are some that finish a little bitter for my taste, depending on the brew.

    I would be in serious trouble if there was a pub near my house. I'm thinking of getting into homebrewing. Just for fun - make it all PJ related. See what happens...

    There's a whole story behind the ginger citrus IPA that's too long to type out. I've met the owner of the brewery a couple of times, and it's his first and only IPA (he's very anti-IPA's)... but it's very tastey.

    Personally I barely notice the ginger at all, the citrus and hops dominate the beer. It has a very light body as well, a golden yellow color... The nose is almost all citrus, grapefruit, lemon, orange... only the slightest hint of the ginger...

    It's very well done, but certainly not a traditional-style IPA...

    I'm hoping for the next couple of weeks, but probably realistic to think June announcement. SG & RNDM are done touring by end of May, the timeline would make sense. Of course, tomorrow is Tuesday, so you never know. :corn:

    i just had a recruiter call me and say "how about that basketball game last night?"

    I was just like "uh, who is this? I have no idea what basketball game you're talking about? I'm Canadian and there's only one sport that matters: hockey."

    he immediately knew that his cold call was not going to net anything on this attempt. :lol:
