    No about Oracle...our money is just as good. Who's willing to start the collection? May be the only way we get a show is to show PJ the dough sad as it is to type.
    That means a lot. Best part about the job is when you "reach" the kid.


    And what's really awesome is when music can help you reach a kid!

    When I do my poetry unit, I use the song "Rise". It's great because it's prefect for middle schoolers - very easy to understand and shows them that poetry does not have to be difficult - and typically most of them have never heard it before.

    I don't post here at all, so take this for what it's worth. Just a rumor and probably nothing. I live in Charlotte and a friend of mine who works at the Fillmore and is in music indistry heard rumor that Pearl Jam will be joining Foo Fighters for the show they are playing for the DNC. He is usually pretty dependable on upcoming unannounced shows, but I have not seen anything on this at all. Of course the Foo's show sold out in record time since the Fillmore is pretty small place. Also tickets are not being released until night of show, so not sure how anyone would get tix if this is true. I do not have tix so if this is true, not really sure how anyone would go about getting a ticket.

    Also found out that tix for Foo's are being checked against credit card used to purchase at entrance to venue. Obviously this is being done to deter any type of scalping for this event. So if anyone bought tix for the Foo's and PJ is indeed playing, congratulations on scoring tix to a pretty amazing event!

    Thats so awesome and yes will be amazing! I saw them at Bobcats arena not too long ago and it was great show, so can only imagine them at small venue. I live in Plaza-Midwood area, how about you? Was actually thinking of trying to organiza a charlotte PJ get together if one of the tribute bands swings through town. not sure how many PJ memebers are around though. Are you going to Atlanta show in Sept?
