I last caught Pearl Jam in Detroit in May of 2006 and it was the best concert that I've ever been to. Now, with their new tour, no Detroit dates. No love for us Detroiters. I know they will come in good time.

A show in Detroit would be nice...I'll be going to LA and San Diego for this tour (not that I mind because I enjoy traveling), but seeing them in my home state would be a nice change :)

no one has money for shows there. sad but true :(
  • I doubt they hit Detroit in 2010. 2006 was good, but the Palace was not sold out.

My guess is Chicago (again) and Cleveland. They should just do an all purpose Michigan show maybe in Lansing. Of course, the Breslin blows though.

I live in Grand Rapids which is roughly half-way between Detroit and Chicago.

As much as I love my state, I would much rather travel to Chicago than Detroit for a PJ show.

I have a feeling PJ feels the same way. "Let's see. We want to play a mini-tour and must hit the midwest. Do you want to go to Chicago or Detroit?" Ummmmmm. Not a tough call.

detroit 06 was the shit ! one of the best shows i have been to. way underrated in my opinion.

detroit 00 was great too !

i live in cincy and both of those shows were way better than what i get in my home town both tours.

plus the detroit 06 poster rocks IMO ! :D
    Peace, Love.

Yes, everyone is broke and cannot afford to goto a concert

To both of you, I doubt either of you live in Detroit because the concert was certainly sold out. Also, people in Detroit don't buy nice houses so they can afford entertainment. They buy big TVs, and go to a lot of concerts. Jay Z just sold out the Palace (or came damn close to) at 200 dollar a ticket. People have money in Detroit. Plus, the Palace is in Auburn Hills, a wealthier area. They have no problems here.

    A. The show in Detroit 06 was defintely not sold out, That is a fact. It sold only 15,000 seats out of a 23,000 venue. They had a lot of areas blocked off. Me and my wife had third level's and it was a very small crowd up there. We easily moved down after PJ too the stage. That is why PJ probably do not have plans to drag their gear up to Michigan anytime soon. Especially given their new found respect (love) for Profit. Plus the show was in Auburn Hills, I know a lot of casual PJ fans that just did not want to drive up there again. Plus Grand Rapids drew a lot of casual fans from the Lansing area, away from Detroit.

B.) I rolled my eyes at the thought of the ridiculous comment that "people in the Detroit" can't afford to goto shows. I grow tired of that exaggeration. I have enough money to live easy and so do my friends and family.

YES! I want to see them in Grand Rapids, even though I live right next to The Palace. But, it looks like they won't even play in Grand Rapids. I am not a happy camper. I only can afford so much and I only can be gone from home so long. A Michigan show would be great.

My dream is they will someday play at The Fox in Detroit and I get tix. Its a small quaint old theater that was redone and is gorgeous. The acoustics are great. All seats are great also. It will never happen, but its my dream.
