Whether you agree with your president or not over the proposed health care reform you should be thankful that he at least holds these town hall meetings to discuss and answer questions about the health care bill, what I would give to see a Canadian Prime Minister do that.

Yes but I feel our Prime Minister does not need to hold a town meeting as we (for the most part) already have "free" healthcare!

and it's still illegal for me to buy prescription drugs (with a prescription) from Canada....i think i'd rather have health care and cheaper prescriptions than town hall meetings

Let me re phrase it then any Canadian politician. I just like the fact that he is willing to hold open discussions, now he may not change his mind but at least he is willing to face the people. I really don't care what the issue, just the fact that he meets the people. And according to Fox news 70% of the people are first come first serve who gets in, so it's apparently not hand picked.

You think our health care is free, not in a million years, we pay for it through our taxes. Thats why Americans will never have the same system they do not want to pay the taxes we do.

Well it is free in the same sense that I can walk through a public park for free, or go to the beach for free.
