Ive Changed, I Really Like "The Fixer"

Wow, after hearing the song on the radio a few times, I actually really like the new single.

I was always a big fan of Got Some on Conan, the song seemed to have substance while The Fixer didnt. The Fixer is just kinda simple and catchy. I remember thinking Nothing as it Seems was a little too deep for a new single off a new album. Then I came around and like that song. I changed, I now like The Fixer.

I just hope the whole Target thing isnt like the U2 promotional crap. U2 has become a pop marketing brand. I hope PJ doesnt become a tool for blackberry or target.

That's the good thing about Pearl Jam. Either you like the song right away or you start to like it after hearing it several times.
I liked The Fixer from the start. It has a happy feeling in it.....

Was there EVER a song you didn;t like after listening a few times by PJ? Now everyone can say, "hmmm, well, i love it now! at first it sucked!"

it never sucked. it was always a good song like every other song they write.

Who You Are was definitely a song where I was like "what the fuck?" when it came out. Really all of No Code was a challenge at first. I liked Hail, Hail, RM, and Off He Goes, but was pretty let down by the whole album. Over time, few months, I started to find value in many of the songs which were a big departure from previous albums. Now, I love it and it is in my top three PJ albums.

Im weird.... I went from LOVING it when I heard the leaked showbox version to HATING it when I heard the poppy studio version, then back to loving it, and now I came to a conclusion that its just a good song. Nothing really amazing. Ill probly go back to loving it after I hear it live though hahahaha.

  • I heard the Fixer today in a packed, trendy shoe store in a chic shopping district and it really sounded modern and attractive if that makes any fuckin sense. It really fit the mood of a busy, happy, public area.
