No, but I am not always this disappointed. I have been a pj apologist for my entire PJ career. This is the first hiccup. I defended Got Some when it got hammered here and pretty much everything else. There are so many bad signs from the band right now.
fair enough, your entitled to your opinion. but PJ are trying something that they havent done before. how can you begrdge that ? do you want them making the same stuff over and over again ?...Pearl Jam, a group filled with pride, passion, and intricate musicianship. Their music is full of subtle textures, rich color, soul-searching power, imagery, and eerie dissonance.0 -

I agree. But I also know that I've loved it most of the times when PJ has altered their style as well. I'd love an old-style album, but I'll probably also love this new style as well. PJ has very rarely disappointed me.5/28/06 - Camden, NJ

I think your losing your mind. If it is not too much of a bother, how old are you and when did you become a fan?
Supersonic sounds like a great garage rock tune to me.0 -
Bump. Original post now has the link to the London full performace of Supersonic on YouTube.

After a couple of listens, I loved The Fixer.
After a couple of listens, I loved Supersonic.
I adore Unthought Known from Ed's show in Washington last year, August 16th I think it was. It floors me every time. From the preview I've heard, sounds like it's going to build and build and that's just plain awesome.
It's hard to judge anything from 30 second clips. I might be a tad unsure on one or two of them but PJ hasn't let me down yet with anything (except for Whale Song, but I'll let them off because Jack Irons sings rather than Ed
), so I'm extremely optimistic and excited still.
At this stage, I don't think Pearl Jam could disappoint me. Speed of Sound demo is beautiful, The End is one of Ed's greatest songs in my opinion, The Fixer and Supersonic are fun as hell and the others have the potential to be brilliant too.
Seriously, I can't help but want to run around the house when I blast Supersonic super loud. That second verse with Ed singing and Mike tinkering away in the background just kills.2006: London Astoria, Lisbon I & II, Paris, Verona, Milano2007: Wembley, Dusseldorf, Copenhagen, Nijmegen2009: Manchester2010: Belfast, Berlin2012: Manchester I & II2014: Leeds, Milton Keynes2018: Amsterdam I, Prague, Krakow, Berlin, Barcelona, London
