Recruiting a new PJ fan!

So,
some of you may have read a thread I posted two years ago about my sister's death. She left behind 4 kids. One who is 15, and he is at that crucial point for teenage boys where the experiences, and influence they have around them will help shape what kind of young adult they'll become.

Ever since her death, I've wanted to remain as close to her kids as possible, especially my nephew he has had a very struggling upbringing.

Tomorrow I am buying him a ticket to his first ever Pearl Jam show (09/28/09 in SLC). The kid knows his uncle so well that he sent me a text, and said "Did you hear that Pearl Jam is coming??". I asked him who he thought he was talking to and told him "Yes, and YOU'RE going with me!"

I'm very excited to take my nephew to his first PJ show! I'm excited to change someones life, like his mother did mine.

    Thats awesome dude, I am taking my 15 year old nephew to his first concert on Tuesday to see the guys at the 02 in London.

    I have a really close relationship with him, due to his mom and dad splitting up and being the one constant male figure in his life, and I feel honoured to be taking him to his first Pearl Jam for the same reasons as you, I am helping him experiance life, something his, ahem, father (if you can call him that!) doesn't seem interested in anymore.

    Sorry to hear about your sister, I can't imagine what that must feel like, but she would be proud of your love and respect for her children.

    I hope you get the best tickets in the house, and it rocks like no show before.

    What an experience he will have. That's so nice of you to do that for him!

    My 17 yr old would be able to see them if they would only come back to Deer Creek. Since they have not, I bought him the whole catalog of PJ.

    Let us know how it goes.
