Is 10 Club the only fan club thats seniority based?

Alot of bands nowadays have mailing lists, where if you are a member of the list, you get access to presale tickets. For instance to be a member of Radiohead's "fan club" W.A.S.T.E. you only have to be on their mailing list. There are no dues. And its not seniority based.
Is Ten Club the only music fan club that is seniority based?

One of the few dumb things they do IMO. Every scalper in the world is probably on that mailing list, and not only that but they put the tickets up for sale at random times, which benefits people who spend all day trying to buy tickets to scalp. And to top it off they mail hard tickets out to you. What's the point?
10-C's system is great. For a scalper to get great seats, he'd have had to be in the club for like 15 years and show up to the venue in person that night and risk losing his membership if he got caught.
I realize it's hard for newer 10-C members to accept, since they will never catch all the way up, but take solace in knowing the 10-C seating area is almost scalping-free. You're behind a bunch of fans but they're real fans.

and plus, they do the lottery now, which gives the newbies hope. although that stifled the progress i've been making towards the front row since 1996 a tad, i think it's a cool thing.
Yeah the lottery is great. It gives hope to the new/younger fans without giving scalpers enough incentive to join.
