United Corporations of America. Your new pseudostates are Exxon, BP, Walmart and General Motors. It would be interesting to see how their earnings compare to actual US states and not the entire US.

exactly. it may even be worse than that, they're not even pseudo states, they are above the law, or write the law in many countries.

these corporations have private armies, no accountability, and the world is pretty fucked up because of them. they are the priority. should be.

What do you mean no accountability? Anyone with a bit of cash can buy shares of any of those companies listed. And shareholders get to vote for things like board of directors. Seems like democracy in action to me. Not to mention for most public companies if you go to their annual general meetings you can address the big bosses.

i wonder if the shareholders of coke ever got to vote on hiring private armies to kill protesters in latin america? did the shareholders of the other corporations who have been tied to coups get consulted? i wish the sharholders of GE were held accountable for voting to sell Hitler munitions even after we were involved in the war!
