ugh... i dont want to do it, but the limited Chicago poster makes me want to.

I feel burned on the last few Ames subs... decisions, decisions.

Yeah, I'm having a tough time deciding what to do, too.

2 items that interest me: guest artist for Chicago (Tom Tomorrow?), and confirmation that Chicago posters will be the same image, 2 different color schemes... Curious how many different subs they will offer...

ok, I'm excited about "special guest" ...

Already ordered the Outside Lands print through 10c.

Makes sense that they are breaking up the subs. They would not have sold out of a full tour sub.

anytime 10C or Ames throw out the words "special," "limited," us PJ fans bust a nut. its gold...literally!

 hate to be you guys that have tix for these concerts...i'd be a sucker too on the blind buy and drop 210 if it were my shows.

the special guest artist is very intriguing...

But it says 3 posters, not 4. So it sounds like this will just be 1 chicago poster in this sub.

by the way, on that image on their site, that bottom poster must be the Rotterdam print, it was described as a "mess of trees".

The special guest may be Obama.

    It is Chicago, afterall.

Silly question here and pardon my ignorance, is there a mailing list that alerts you to these things through Ames or do you just regularly check the site?

Thanks and again sorry for the stupid question.

I really liked their work in 2008. I'm going for it. Only 200 subs available, it says.

The top one could be Rotterdam, too. It could be a mess of snakey trees

Either way I am not impressed by the snippets we can see.

Not a silly question. I'm actually just as confused a you. I'm on their mailing list and got no notice. Good thing I checked here.

The middle one must be the gold Chicago one, as it is the only one with the gold color. Tom Tomorrow = special guest?

Yeah, that is what I thought since it is gold, although it looks like it has LAN in it which could also be for the Outside Lands Festival??

and that would be cool if it were Tom Tomorrow

Maybe the special guest artist is Ed. He's already done one poster for Chicago.

Could be "JAM" ... thus could be Chicago

Good call, think you are probably right. Interested to see how these end up. Went ahead and got them, hopefully they are worth it.

Yeah - kind of looks like the Bulls jersey lettering to me...

Hoping they will eventually sell singles, really don't think they are going to sell 200 of these packs.

The Chicago one piques my interest. Rotterdam, not so much.

    San Fran, already purchased.

That was my first thought--- It's GOTTA be Ed. I bought it, so I guess I'm betting $235 (including shipping) that I don't have. I'm not gonna kick myself like I did the last time around

Let's remember, Ed worked closely with Brak Klausen on those few posters he did work on .... Brad is NOT a member of AMES.

I think it is more likely to be Jeff than Ed ... but, I bet it's someone else all together.

I thought, okay maybe it's Mike and the charity is Crohn's... But he has no connection to Chicago. I'm totally thinking it's Ed and the charity is that one for the cartoonists like Tom Tomorrow... .

I know Ed worked with Klausen on those solo ones, but Ed didn't like Klausen's finished product on the Hawaii. Maybe Ed just took it on himself and did it himself with Ames instead

Is it just me or is $25 for shipping 3 posters a bit insane? Especially considering Ames subs are usually shipped 3-4 posters per tube, meaning this is for one shipment...

If anyone's interested in getting a sub and letting me buy their Chicago off them - that'd be very cool. In any case, I'll be attempting to get one at the show, and hope to start 'paying it forward' with posters!
