STP Fall 2009 Tour

3 October shows announced thus far in Arizona, Alabama, and California. STP are so lazy about just announcing full tour dates, they always trickle out, but I'll keep up with it at grungereport.net :mrgreen: It looks like this could be the start of the new album tour though since STP were previously rumored to be wanting to release it in November/December.

    That's awesome. I saw STP last month in Cincy. Blew me the fuck away! Best non-Pearl Jam show I ever seen. I strongly encourage anyone who can to go check them out.

    They owe Tampa and Orlando, FL a show each after canceling last year. Hopefully they get shows this time around

    It won't be a part of the new album tour, which begs the question, why are they touring this Fall?

    For some reason, I'm really not as excited as I expected myself to be about a new STP album... Maybe it's just because their last record was quite underwhelming.

    I love SLDD, it's a grower though, and there are a few duds (like Regeneration). The new album will be great though, it's definitely something to be excited about :mrgreen:

    I think it was just so freaking amazing to me because STP are one of all time favorites. Purple is one of those albums that help define my life. Plus I was second row (behind the GA pit, which was small) so I was really close. I had one of those "oh my god I can't believe this is happening" moments. Actually I had 4 or 5 of them. And they just sounded fantastic. THe only mistake was when they flubbed up the beginning of Interstate Love Song because Robert D. started playing the wrong song. :lol:

    I LOVE stp i saw them last year and i had the time of my life, one of my favorite bands of all time. The news of the new album AWESOME!

    I think you sat next to me...I was 2nd row behind the pit, dead center. They did sound fantastic that night. My favorite STP related show and 1 of my top shows ever, was Scott solo @ bogarts on his 12 Bar Blues tour...right before being arrested in NYC buying Heroin. It was awesome.

    How about Oct 7???? I go to ACL Oct 2-4...then I go see Black Crowes Oct. 6 in Pompano....

    I would love to go but I'm going to travel to see PJ and I'm short on cash for any other act more than 50 miles away :(

    i was there. really solid show. shoot me a pm if you come across a boot for this show, big draw back for me at this show was that i had a 18 year old kid sittin in front of us that was so fucking high and drunk that he only looked at the stage once, the rest was him trying to take his shirt off, and trying to reassure everyone around him that he wasnt high and drunk. i was close to knocking him out.

    would like to be able to hear the show again without his fucked up self messing it up for me.

    STP was incredible in Cincy- couldn't believe I had the opportunity to see them since 1996- wild stuff! I highly recommend anyone going who has the chance since Scott seems wishy-washy at times...
