So what Massachusetts-Folk are going to Philly?

Unfortunately...being 17...I'm only going to the 10/31 show.

Anyone else going to shows/what is your means of travel.

I think Philly will have a substantial amount of Bostonians. WOOHOO

I'm holding out for PJ at Mohegan Sun. Come to think of it, it's been a while since they've been to Maine.

  • We will be heading down from NH on Thursday to check out Terror Behind the Walls at the Eastern State Penitentary and then going the Friday and Saturday shows. If you have time during the day check out the Eastern State Pen its a 140 year old prison in the center of Philly that you can exlore for about $11 during the day.Terror Behind the Walls in a section of the prison set up as a hauted prison.

It's really not a bad drive. We drove down on 5/28 for the Camden II show in '06 and drove back the following day. The show was worth it, although I will NEVER go to another show in Camden again. Philly I can handle, Camden is by far the worst city I've ever been to (probably one of the worst in the country). It's right up there with Hartford, although a lot of my hatred for that city stems from Motel 6 towing my car in the middle of the night  Camden is just bad.

IMO it's not worth the money to fly if you can leave early in the AM.

Flying out on the 29th for the last 2 shows. Luckily I live close to Providence so it's only a 20 minute drive to the airport and a 1:15 flight. Round trip $160. Well worth it. I will gladly sport the Sox cap.
I'll ride the wave where it takes me.

You would be right my friend. I booked my flight about a week ago. I had no plans to go to Philly and then a friend of mine talked me into it. I had to get boned by scalpers for the 30th and got tix yesterday for the 31st. It's actually a delayed honeymoon for the wife and I.

You spoke of Maine. I went to college in Maine from 95-99. They played Augusta in 96. I was not there but I had a really close friend from school who went. I believe Dennis Rodman made a cameo there.

Hahhaha. The famous Maine show where Vedder was on Rodman's shoulders I believe.
