I'll be just over 35 weeks pregnant at the Chicago show. This baby loves some PJ played to him through the belly. He kicked me to death during the Eddie Memphis show.. I've been trying to prepare him, but here's to not having a hearing damaged baby after this - or a baby on the floor of the United Center.

Ha. Good luck. My wife (@40 weeks) starting have contractions during Liam's set at the eV solo show (Massey II) - needless to say we didn't stay. They wouldn't even let me give the ticket away outside the venue.

Dirty looks, seriously? I bet I'd get dirtier looks if I had the baby in my arms at the show! At least I won't be drinking a bunch of beers at the pre-party.

Congrats, in advance. I was 7 months at the Merriweather Pavillion back in '96 and he was kicking the entire show. Every year since he could talk he wanted to go see Edee and PurrJam (what he called it) everytime I went to a show. Last year, at age 12, he got his wish in DC and has 3 under his belt so far and is ecstatic about seeing them twice this October. Amazing how he knows the correct words to every song just by hearing them so many times over the years. Can be a bit embarassing when a 3 year old rips out the lyrics to Porch at an inappropriate time. Lots of luck and be prepared to spend additional funds on Purr Jam once they reach puberty.

Hopefully you wont get any dirty looks, I went pregnant to most of my shows in 1998 and again on 2003, no one was nasty to me or gave me dirty looks, the contrary they were very nice an accommodating :)

Don't come closer or I'll have to go
  • Thirty five weeks isn't bad- but is this your first?
It can take longer than you think. However if it isn't your first , good luck.

I didn't become a PJ fan until after my kids were born ( my pic is my oldest when she was little), thank the goddess because I had to be on bedrest from the sixteenth week.
I snuck out when I was about five months, to see Bonnie Raitt at the Paramount theatre.
( She wasn't born until two months later)
At least it was a sitting down show & I laid down in the seat as much as I could-
I wouldn't be able to physically sit down & watch Pearl Jam.
I couldn't sit still to watch Eddie on his solo tour!

    Congratulations :)

here's to hopin' that security doesn't kick you or the baby you just had at the UC out because you now have only 1 ticket for 2 people.

Here's to hopin' your water doesn't break on my shoes. ;)

Have fun and enjoy your last few weeks of 'freedom' and rock out at that show! First babies take a long time - even if your contractions started you could still have hours to go! (I've had 2)

You and my wife will have something in common. She is 5 months pregnant and will be accompanying me at the show. You can meet her at the pre-party. She'll be the other one not drinking.
