So I am wondering if there are any SF people here who can help me figure out the best way to get to Golden Gate Park from Union Square? Bus? Train? Cab?

Thanks!

    Use Muni.

Take the N-Judah train to 34th ave. Walk a few blocks north to the park.

Here's the line stops ... you'd get on at Powell St station (which is on Market street)

From outside Lands Site, they say take the 28 bus (don't) ... but thought I'd pass on their "Getting to the Park" link ...

On the outside lands festival website, i talks about them providng a shuttle that picks you up from somewhere ad drops you at the gates. Its a 10 shuttle per day.

None of those stops are near Union Sq. Taking a BART train or walking to get to one of those stops is a possibility, but, seems more of a pain in the ass to me.

  • BART has several apps for Ipod that help you scout routes- once I get down to SF I am going to check them out, we are staying at Fisherman's Wharf but this site should help you
