1995 Tour: Salt Lake City night 1

I’ve always felt that 7/11/95 Soldier Field was hands-down the band’s best show of the 1995 tour. However, after listening to Salt Lake City, 11/1/95, I'm no longer 100% sure. I’m baffled as to how this show has eluded me until this week.

You shouldn’t go by setlist alone, but if you did, this one definitely holds its own. What really puts this one over the top for me is the sheer energy of the band at the top of its game, coupled with Ed’s singing, which is harder and louder than I think I’ve ever heard him sing before. From the very beginning of the show until the very last note played. This is definitely one worth checking out (or re-visiting) as soon as you get a chance.

And to think, this was only night 1 for Salt Lake City.

  • It was an amazing night! Being the day after Halloween, Eddie came out with some alien mask/gloves and threw candy into the crowd.

This was my first Ten Club ticket concert. On night 1 The Delta Center screwed up seating for Ten Club members and I ended up off on the wings of the stage. We were pulled aside before the concert and told if we could come back tomorrow they would make it right. So the next night we showed up at Will Call and we were given this scrap of paper with something written on it. It got us into the show and, me and my wife-to-be, ended up in row number 1 between Eddie and Mike. It was awesome!

We got to see both shows for the price of 1 plus front row. It was a fantastic two nights and the Boots are great from both nights.

Haven't missed a Pearl Jam show in Utah yet. Can't wait for September. Thanks for coming back Pearl Jam!

That's awesome! We were probably next to each other if not a couple away. Me and my brother were right in front of Mike on that second night. AMAZING!
