    yeah, you win a war on drugs by eliminating the demand for it, you don't go after the supply. the gov't paid the rand corporation millions of dollars to do a study on everything and that's exactly what they found. prevention is exponentially more effective than going after the supply.

    so when you get down to it....the gov't knows prevention is the best way to combat drug use....yet they are still spending billions of dollars on -according to them-eliminating the supply.....which leads me to believe their stated goals are much different from their actual goals.


    its another war just like all the other wars.

    war on

    communism
    terrorism
    drugs



    its always a war on something, and it doesn't matter what, the outcome is always the same.

    i haven't seen it but 'Smoke & Mirrors: The American War on Drugs and the Politics of Failure' is a good book on the subject

    also, i'm thinking of seeing Kurt Vile's side project this weekend in town, war on drugs :ugeek:

    it is a real eye opener and no they will never win the drug war

    there losing it more and more every day and wasting our money and putting this country in longterm debt

    people who are not even born yet have a bill waiting for them
