Pay more for 10C tix for no more value

I think it's a bit rich of 10C to charge US $20 more for tickets in Australia for no real value except getting into a GA area before the general public., where the general public pay $20 less and could be standing right next to us.

As someone has mentioned in another thread, it's going to be a long day so if you get a good spot early, you lose that if you need to go to the toilet, get food or merchandise.

As per previous experiences, I was hoping for a little more and to get hit with a foreign transaction fee for a show in Australia, was just dissapointing.

One last thing before I go back into my corner, the presale for the new album is not beneficial either. Living in Australia, the album will be in stores before it would arrive from 10C, and you get no 10C extra like the 92' NYE gig we got with Pearl Jam 'Avacado'.

Just a little dissapointing when we pay our membership, we'd expected a little more value adds.

  • I agree the ticket prices have really started to bother me.

What ever happened to their stance against ticketmaster?

The No Code tour was awesome, I paid just over $20 per ticket.

    Now $167 for a pair.
  • For killer seats? Some people are never happy. Everything is relative I guess.

Great....another original thread where Pearl Jam is screwing us by charging us too much.....

Hopefully we'll get more threads about "the PJ servers not being able to handle the volume of people trying to get tickets", "we're not given enough time to book travel arrangements between show announcements and onsale dates", "here is a link to a guy on ebay flipping posters or offering fan club tickets", and of course.....our favorite......"Why should people who have been loyal to the band for 18 years be rewarded with the best seats??"

I'd rather see prices at $200 a pair or more to keep them in line with comparable acts.
There's Pearl Jam, The Rolling Stones, Chuck Berry, Robert Johnson......and then everybody else.

inflation. priorities. if you can't afford it, don't go. i know what that's like & it sucks. we want to go to the Halloween show, but we're saving. simple as that.

My issue isn't the price, the price is reasonable. Though we are paying a premium for GA tickets, so we'd expect to have a 10C area or preferred tickets.

I've had 10C tickets before and with the allocated seating that was fine. My issue is that Joe Bloggs will log on to ticketek/ticketmaster and get his gold tickets and be in the same area as me where I have paid $20 more for no benefit at all.

The show isn't going to sell out in 15 minutes or anything.

You're talking about this $20... does Ticketek put service charges on their tickets, and does this $20 discrepancy include that? Also, while Joe Bloggs may be in the same area as you, Joe may be quite a bit further back!

Read my thread! My issue isn't with the price. I'm happy to pay it. My issue is that we pay a premium for the tickets where general tickets a $20 cheaper and are in the same area. Like I said, it's going to be a long day and if you need to go to the bathroom or merchandise stand ect, you will lose your spot, so getting priority entry is pointless.

Maybe I will just bring a bottle to pee into and wear all my merchandise that I buy on the way in and sweat like a MOFO in the moshpit.

First access to the area in a GA admission show, yeah I can see how that can be conceived as "not getting any more value".

I am also upset that the setlists are not run by me first! I pay good money to be in the ten club every year, yet have not once been asked for my advice on setlists!!!!!

Also note, no one is forced to buy Ten Club Tickets....if one feels that there is no value to buy a presale ticket to the show, then why buy one?

I have yet to attend a concert where I was able to bring my merchandise to my car and then re enter the venue, but I will admit all of my shows have been US shows ergo things may run differently outside of the US.

Reading this board gives me the impression that being a Ten Club member can be very depressing and frustrating....perhaps I am the one who just doesn't get it.

first, are you sure you have taken the exchange rate into account?

I think the 40 dollar difference is in the exchange rate.

let's say that's not the case. Are you from the US? If you are buying a plane ticket and booking a hotel 40 bucks would be nothing.

so the usual response, can't afford it? don't go.

Its still not fair that we are treated like second class citizens. I heard a rumor that Ten Club members were going to have to clean the toilets after each show they attend next tour!!!!!!

Funny all the dopes that come on here and gripe about someones legitimate gripe.

Want a good seat, just bend over and the 10c will give it to you.

That could be the dumbest thing I have ever read on this board. You WANT higher prices?

I don't know about the dumbest, but I agree. A bit of a strange statement.

Regardless, the showing will be fucking awesome!!!!
  • Ticket prices are getting out of hand no matter where you are. It's making it not worth going to a show because now it is just pissing me off, for the United Center show in Chicago, IL for nose bleed seats the cost is 65 without Ticketmaster fees so it'll be around 80. Way too much.........When do you just say fuck it?

50 aussie= 25 US...I think. why do ppl always expect something for nothing. I thought that was just an "american" trait.
