Well, looks like I will have to call, when I put in the group code for the Hilton it comes back with this.

The Group/Convention Code you entered could not be validated. Please check your entry and try again. To view standard rates, simply remove the Group/Convention Code and resubmit your request.

Also if anyone is interested, if you go to priceline you should be able to get nights at the Omni downtown which is near the trolley for $71 a night.

oh good so it wasn't just me
  • Cool to see they are doing this.

For those from out of town...if you plan on having a car the MV Hilton isn't a bad option at that price with parking and internet thrown in. Can even walk to the trolley if you desire, shouldn't be more than 5 or 10 minute hike. I just tend to not be a fan of Mission Valley. Very centrally located but essentially one big shopping mall/condo complex.

If you're planning on flying or taking the train, the Se downtown is a better bet. It sits on top of the House of Blues if you're looking for other shows, and the trolley stop is right there.

With that said the people that pricelined the Omni still sound like they got the best deal IMHO.

The preparty / fundraiser is probably going to be in Mission Valley, next to the trolley station

The trolley from MV is a very short trip to the venue

    Good rate at the Hilton!

The rate at the Hilton in MV is now available... just did it through hilton.com, select the mission valley hotel and enter PJB as the group rate!

To whomever brought this up and took care of this at the PJ camp... thank you!

Haven't made up my mind this week on whether I'm going... I decided right away when something didn't work out after I brought the SD tickets through 10c...

I think I may give it another shot this week and know for sure next week if we're going... gotta call my bank on the rewards program cuz the points I had were enough to cover for a roundtrip flight.

I got a free place to stay though - in Poway, which I'm told is 30 minutes away from the venue. A friend said it'd cost us $15 dollars a day to rent a car.

Even if the bank gives me back all the points (they disappeared when I ordered a new card, grrr), I still got to work out something else for my accomodations at the show... that part is the hardest and not an easy task. :( But the rewards is well worth all the hard work if done right... like Nashville.

but this is really nice of 10c to even bother with the lodging package for their 10c members!

Nobody can say they are only concerned about themselves and making profit while running a business... :P

Bumping this for others who may have missed this.

EDIT: Oh others have already bumped this before I did... sorry.

I just booked a room at the Hilton. The code works now if you use the direct link to that hotel.

    EXCITED!

Mission Valley Center Trolley Station is about 1/2 mile away from the hotel. Cross the freeway overpass and cut through the strip mall.

The preparty stop will more than likely will be on the way to venue..... still waiting for final confirm with the restaurant

Meaning right by the hotel or you have to get off the trolley before the venue?
