Good question. Are you wanting to be close to the venue? What are you looking to spend? How nice of a hotel/motel are you looking for or does that matter to you?

Haha yeah definitely important to know your female  just kidding. I'd say the farther away from downtown you go the cheaper the hotels get so depends on where you wanna stay. If you want nice and downtown I'd say stay at "Little America" or "Grand America" . If you want a decent cheap motel in a good neiborhood but a little farther away from the venue I'd say "Scenic Motel" on foothill drive (10 minutes from downtown) or right close to there is "Skyline Inn" http://www.skylineinn.com/ Close to the venue for me is a tough one since I don't frequent West Valley much. (about 10 minutes from downtown) Me personally I wouldn't stay in West Valley. The neiborhood is a little rough i.m.o. (No offense to you West Valleyites :D )

Are there any cabs that run through the E Center after a show anyway? I've only been to 2 shows there and wasnt paying any attention.

The trax rail is close, (maybe) but I have never ridden any of UTA's busses or rails.

Hmmm something to see in SLC that week end... http://www.cityweekly.net/utah/ might have some info.

Some shops on East Broadway to stroll through.

  • So, sorry if this is a dumb question, but, does the 10c have the whole 1,2,9, and 10th rows reserved, so they fill those up with lottery people? Or, do they just have a few seats in those rows reserved for the lottery? This is my first time buying 10c tickets, and I was a little weary about it, since I don't find out where I sit until the day of the show, and I have a pretty high #, but after reading what you guys have been writing, I'm feeling a bit reassured. Either way, I can't wait!

From what i understand, who ever buys 10c tickets, gets the best seat locations..
Starting from front row on back, filling each row... they have rows 1,2,9,and 10th rows for lottery winners, no matter what fan club number you have, you have a chance at these rows. They are randomly assigned regardless of seniority.
Now lets say 200 fan club members buy 10c tickets, that would be 400 seats... From what i was told, it is 42 per row. that would be just about 10 rows completely filled by the fan club ticket holders...

i'm a little worried for this show because ticket sales seem to be horrible. you can still get floor tickets and really close to the stage as of 10:30 sunday morning. that means they might have sold only a few sections. any chance this show might be moved like the bham and new orleans show in 2003?
I'll ride the wave where it takes me......

Fan Club seats should be VERY close for everyone. I just pulled a pair of row 13 floor seats a day after tickets went on sale. I doubt this will even come close to a sell out.

  • I am totaslly pumped for the show too. Everybody who got 10c seats are going to be within the first 10-15 rows. We better enjoy the show because this will probably be the last time they play here. Tickets didnt sell very well yesterday. You can still pull floor seats

There is over a month till the show. Lots of time to sell tickets in my opinion. I'm guessing this show would have sold more seats quicker had the band announced it originally. I think so many people spent tons of money to travel to other shows (like myself) by the time they annonced this show they were already broke!

I'm bittersweet about this show...it's exciting that us ten clubbers are ALL going to have great seats. It's also exciting that they're coming to SLC after being away for so long. It bums me out knowing that this may be their last show here due to poor sales, though. :(

I'll have hope that things will pan out and it will end up being a full venue.
