I have been playing with it and found the sweet spot.

Name your own price $66
choose 'Portland-downtown" and 4star.

You get this :)

Just called and parking is $30/day for in and out valet. I heard public transpo may be an option though. need to look into that.

if this is too much of a repetitive thread...merge it with something it is reapeating.

another good deal in the bag. So far I have piked three nights at the chicago Hyatt...four nights at some spot for the LA shows (even though I live in Redondo), a couple nights at a killer hotel in san diego and now this. For at least 65% below face.

heads up bump. Carpooling to the show from here would be nice since four per vehicle plus provides for easier parking/exit. ;)
  • If anyone needs a hookup on a Portland room I have gift certificates good for 2 nights at the Hotel DeLuxe or the Sheraton Four Points Portland East(separate certificates). Looking to trade them for cool PJ stuff or would entertain a $ offer. Would rather trade though. Let me know if anyone is interested. Open to all offers. Thanks.

Probably see if the hotel will do a shuttle, cuz public transpo is not an option at least not a good one. The venue is 15 miles north of DT portland in another State. Just a polite heads-up.
  • umm. downtown portland is 45-60 mins away by car from the venue. check out vancouver, wa if you want to be closer. traffic out of this venue is also a complete nightmare at times.... i know, i'll be in it!
  • No way ridgefield is 45-60 minutes from Portland unless you are driving in the height of traffic on a Friday of a 3 day weekend. Vancouver is just across the bridge from Portland, so I don't see how staying in Vancouver is going to save you more than about 5-8 minutes of drive time from Portland. Google directions says 25 minutes drive time.

    yeah, so there.
  • If I could get carpool from Portland I would go- otherwise I am not going because it sounds like the management of the venue suck regarding traffic control. ( my H would probably be coming too- although after seeing them in SF & Seattle, he may be satiated.)
I would be staying in SE Portland- but I either could drive or ride ( would have room for three in my Jeep)
Public transport in Portland is pretty good, I usually take the train down from Seattle and use the Max.
You must be the change you want to see in the world

For those who are going to the 'Portland' show and have never been to Portland...stay in Portland. Don't stay in Vancouver or Ridgefield. They are nice places but check out Portland. We have a beautiful city and it's really only a 15 ride from Downtown to the venue.

Oh, if you are staying, stay in Portland. Just don't even try to use public transpo. I live twenty minutes from both Portland and Vancouver and would most willingly pick-up and return a small group of ppl staying in Portland. I live in Camas and don't drink so I would be more than happy to be a designated driver. I am going to seattle n1,n2 and the Portland show is right in my backyard. So if anyone has questions, holler.
