Already going to the Friday show, but am having trouble justifying another $300 for the extra night. One show should be more than enough for a sensible person, right?

    You're at the wrong place if you're looking for common sense.

    I timed switching jobs last year so I could go to every show from Camden 1 to the Beacon. So I would never say one show is enough. ;)

    honestly, if you are going to 10.30 i think 10.31 is a given. one does not *justify* indulgences such as concerts....one simply accepts or ejects it. given that you are already traveling down to philly for one show, i expect to see you on the 31st as well. ;)

    10.30 and 10.31 are IT for me.

    Already being in Philly for Friday's show and not going to Satruday's. That just doesn't make any sense :idea:

    I'm driving 5 hours just for Friday, not staying for saturday's. It makes sense when you can't make the show on saturday

    But I'm trying to convince myself that just because I'm going on Friday, doesn't necessarily mean I need to attend on Saturday too. I've seen them like 10 times already..there are a ton of other things to do on a Halloween Saturday...damn it..guess I'll see you there ;) ..

    Edit: Probably closer to 15, not even counting Ed solo..pathetic..

    you know that the less hyped shows are always the better ones
    and the sat show will be filled with drunkards acting like asses because they are wearing masks or some other silly costume

    at least thats the rationalization im using-since I cant go anyway ;)

    But on paper, I would guess that at least one of these shows will join the list of EPIC PJ shows

    it's philly, you're there, close to home, easily doable...just GO! it's silly to 'talk yourself out of it' unless you can't pay your rent or something serious. i talked myself out of going to oz for my birthday and pearl jam, THAt was sensible....you missing out on 10.31 is simply....silly.

    and hey, it all depends on your perspective. i don't think it's 'pathetic' at all to see pj so many times. of course, i've also traveled to numerous countries, etc...so i may not be the best judge for you there. :lol:

    that said, personally, i couldn't care less about halloween, so i am actually pretty psyched to have something i LOVE to do...to do on the holiday. hubby and i usually go out to dinner on halloween, haha, he'll have to make other plans.....i'll be in philly! 8-)

    Yeah, and somehow the epic shows generally tend to be the ones you skip....you should just go for it buddy ;) ..

    im good for the 28th, and it would cost a load more to swing any extra days, dont spoil yourself and save up to do some touring next year. BUT.........ITS THE LAST NIGHT AT THE SPECTRUM ON HALLOWEEN, ITS GONNA BE THE MOST INSANE THING EVER

    I didnt have to be talked out of the 10.31 show. My gf and I live together with two kids. She's never been to a PJ show. I really wanted to take her. The only way she said she could go is if we could be back in time for Halloween so the kids could "trick or treat"! I was kinda upset..my first reaction was: Don't tell them its Halloween!...theyre 5 years old. Keep them out of school that day and theyll never know what day it is!
    Well, she conviced me that that wasnt true...they would find out somehow i guess :-(

    So we're flying to Philly on the 30th and flying back on the 31st. From Columbus. I know it sounds short and dumb, but i seriously didnt think we'd get any 2010 shows after eddie said someone was having a baby. Now I heard stone on the radio say they would hit up parts of the country they missed next year. Oh well..still glad I have a show to goto in Oct...even though im missing halloween.. And finally taking her to see PJ!

    You only need to score one or a pair per show, and I'm pretty sure that won't be a problem at a venue of this size..and anyway, you are not very convincing..

    Cool, have a great time at the show and with your kids on Halloween. If we had kids, there would be no decision to make...

    as to holmdel, oh dear.....THAT is a shame!
    the only show i've 'skipped' was the ohio VFC, the one neil young took over, and all i can say to that is *whew!* so glad i didn;t drive my ass over to ohio to see pearl jam! :twisted: :mrgreen: sure, i'd still love to see pj in sydney on my birthday, but yea....i'll get over it. especially if i can see em in hawaii. :mrgreen:

    I'm already going to the 28th & 30th so I wasn't too worried about going to the 31st....but now my friend wants me to get her and her boyfriend tickets for his birthday...so what the hell, I might as well get myself a ticket :)

    yep that and Budokan 03 are the two shows I REALLY regret skipping
    still chasing that wash opener-probably happen on 10/31!
