    Been to this many PJ shows: Reading 2006 London 2007 Manchester & London 2009 Dublin, Belfast, London, Nijmegen & Berlin 2010 Manchester 1 & Manchester 2 2012...

    ... and I still think Drive-By Truckers are better.

    I'd have to go with Animal on this one. Why Go is a close second. Not For You has a bit of timidness in it that dilutes it. Animal always gets me fired up tho. Those opening riffs do it.

    Hearing Ed scream "Why would you want to hurt me?" still sends chills up my spine after hundreds of listens. My vote is Animal. That is one freaking angry song.

    Nor does "angrier" neccessarily mean autobiographical. Not for You might be more outwardly/obviously angry than the others, but it's definitely not as angry as the slow burn of seething rage that must be felt by someone enduring and then escaping an abusive relationship as in Rearview Mirror, for example. Of the 3 choices, I'm still gonna go with Animal.

    I mean besides the lyrics, I always thought of Animal as just a chill ass awesome rocker. Nothing incredibly heavy or angry souding, just a sick nice and heavy riff.

    I would say Not For You is the angriest.

    I always dug Animal because it was rumored to be written, at least in part, about Shannon Dougherty of Beverly Hills 90210!!!

    The story went that she came on to him HARD after a show in LA, when Ed was still with Beth and he told someone that he'd rather be with an animal than that "insert negative name for a female here"...

    Not For You because it has a much more personal feel to it... Why Go is telling a story, Not For You is making a statement.

    I was gonna throw in Save You, too. Of the 3 that were offered by the OP, I think I'll go with Animal. And also, what about Rats? Leash? DTE? Insignificance? Damn PJ sure is an angry band :twisted:
