TS-808 or Hardwire CM-2?

I was just given the TS-808 re-issue but I'm thinking about switching it for the hardwire CM-2 tube overdrive. My main reason is that the TubeScreamer doesn't have true bypass and I'm not willing to mod it. I haven't played the CM-2 but I have a Hardiwre DL-9 and I love it. I definatly notice the TS-808 affecting my clean tone when it is not in use and i'm not sure the trade-off is worth it. What are your thoughts? Im playing an '03 highway 1 strat through a fender hot rod deluxe. Thanks.
