I KNEW they would add a Portland date! Now I have tickets to shitty Key Arena Seat-HOLE show, and have to deal with going up from Portland and find lodging, etc... when I could just go from home and see them outdoors! Do PJ usually announce their tours this way? If I had the money, I'd just be happy to see them twice, but I may have to choose one. what to do? (go to both shows.. I know)

    go to both

you could always sleep in your car in seattle.
Ron: I just don't feel like going out tonight
    Sammi: Wanna just break up?

I think Justin Timberlake says it best.

"Cry me a river-er, yea yea"
  • Go to both. Sure its extra money, but when will you get a chance to see them again? Another three years? Hopefully sooner but...you might regret it later.
  • Yeah that sucks! Now not only do I hafta go to TWO shows in Seattle but, not I gotta drive all the way up to BC and THEN drive all the way down to the Oregon border! Man this sucks so bad!

Keep posting threads like these. These are our own little protests to the PJ tour announcement method. If folks don't like all these threads, then its PJ's fault for announcing shows every couple weeks, when they've been planning them ALL for months. That's right, they've been planning for all these shows for months.

    Solution to your problem:

drive home after the seattle show, save money on the hotel, put extra money on tickets to portland show.

    Problem solved, your welcome

yeah, that was my point... not to just bitch about it. I think going to both shows is the way to go (of course). I'm just not sure i can justify it financially.. If I wanted to trade my Seattle tickets for Portland.. how would I go about that? Ten club tickets aren't even physical tickets..

Why don't you consider staying in a hostel? Check out Green Tortoise. I stayed there last year for about $30 a night, and it's right at the market and a 25-minute walk to Key Arena.

You "knew" they were going to add a Portland show but didn't budget for it? Who's fault is that?

if driving up to Seattle, or in some people's cases, traveling across country is such an issue, why do people do it?

  • Wow, your life really sucks. Sorry.

    (and Seattle's a hole ? :? )
There's a lot to be said for nowhere...
  • I believe the OP was referring to Key Arena not Seattle...no one could actually call Seattle a hole with a straight face.

I'm so excited about Portland! I had a feeling they would add that date. Now I can visit my brother and see my favorite band...MUCH better than drinking at McMinamins all night! Plus outdoors!

It does suck that they do this.

However, you get to see Pearl Jam twice this year. At least you have something to be happy about. I'll still be waiting for next year (unless I can get to Halloween...).
