    Rows 1-2
    Rows 9-10

EVERYONE has a chance to get these seats. You don't find out until the day of the show when you pick up your 10C seats

    1st, 2nd, 9th and 10th rows....randomly chosen 10c members get these seats, with ANY 10c #.
ALL other 10c seats by straight seniority
EVERY 10c member has an EQUAL chance of being chosen
if you normally would sit before rows 9-10...you will NOT ever be pushed back by 'winning' those rows, but of course you still are fully able to win rows 1-2.

    think that about covers it.

thanks for the info ... i had no idea.

when one gets their tickets, do the 10C folks tell you then, hey you won the lottery!!??

i've been getting fan club tickets for *years* but i guess if it just started in 2008, that would explain it. i would have only seen it at the gorge ...

thanks so much 10C people. as usual, you are the best.

Nice. I thought it meant that ALL 10C seats were in the lottery :o , meaning I could get the WORST 10C seat even with a decent number . . . guess it means you'll either get a GREAT seat, or your "usual" 10C seniority seat, but no worse, correct?

So can anyone PLEASE confirm that the Toronto show on the 21st will be a lottery?

well in reality, ALL our seats are a wee bit *worse*....by at most, 4 rows (tho those who sit in rows 3-8, only 2 rows back from usual) to accommodate this lottery change. i personally think it's a small price to pay for EVERYone to have the possibility of an amazing seat.

and yes, ALL shows have been confirmed as being lottery, which would include toronto. 10c made an announcement that in effect, from now on, ALL shows will include these random lottery rows.

It has been confirmed through numerous posters here who have contacted the Ten Club - myself included - that the lottery for rows 1-2, 9-10 will be in place for Toronto, Chicago. Feel free to contact them yourself, or to use the conveniently located search bar to find the thread about this very topic if you're skeptical, but yes, the lottery is in place.

  • So,
I'm new to the 10c. I just joined about a month ago. I understand the seniority thing. But, since I just barely joined, when I buy tix through the presale, my seats will still be decent, right? just not as good as someone who's been in for a long time. So, I guess what I'm asking, are all 10c seats pretty decent? Thanks.
  • Also,
I can't believe they're finally coming to SLC again after all these years. I can't wait to see them (my first time!)

They should be okay . .. depends on the venue, I'd say.

I only joined the 10C in 2005 even though I could have easily joined in '98 when I jumped from casual fan to HUGE fan . . . So for the 2005 Canadian tour, I would have had one of the lowest 10C numbers. I was 24 rows back on the floor for the Kitchener show. Sounds pretty good, no? I found that I couldn't really see the stage at all. I would have preferred to be up the sides of the arena instead. For the Ottawa show, I was not on the floor, but in the 100's . . . about 20 rows up. They were good seats, but over halfway down the arena from the stage. We had friends who bought tickets the day of the show from somewhere and they were in the 100's too - but about 4 sections closer to the stage. So you just never know.

For amphitheatres, I don't think you can go wrong with 10C seats. There is a post on this board about someone getting section 400 for the show in Toronto through the public sale. Any 10C seat would be closer than that. I think you'll have great seats for any amphitheatre show. For the 2003 show in Toronto I was in the 300's, and that was buying them online through Ticketmaster the morning they went on sale.

The main thing I love about 10C seats is that you are GUARANTEED tickets to the show (assuming you can get in on the 10C presale) and don't have to worry about logging on to the web and trying to buy tickets with everyone else . . . you can relax knowing your seats are reserved for you and will be better than MOST public tickets. Closer is obviously better, but I'd prefer to know I have tickets and that they will be "decent" than stressing over a crashed ticket website @ 10am the day tickets go on sale and missing out on the show (or being up on the lawn for an amphitheatre show and standing the whole time/being pushed around/fighting for space or position.)

    Just my two cents.

In my opinion, for an arena show (where 10C typically gets most, if not all, of the floor, plus some wings), the seating goes from really really great, to really crappy. By that I mean, if you are in the first 25 rows, or even on the wings, they are some of the very best seats in the house...but if you find yourself from there on back to the rear of the floor, those seats are some of the very worst seats in the house (unless you're either 6'5" tall and can see over everything, or you really don't care about actually seeing anything at a live show). IMHO, I think the 10C should only negotiate for the first 25 or so rows on the floor, and the elevated side sections (or for that matter, ANYWHERE else in the building), as THESE would represent the best seats in the house to be provided to their loyal fan club members...that is assuming that their goal really is to provide the best seats available for the tenclubbers. But I digress...

I would totally agree with the other poster in regards to the amphitheater shows, though - definitely can't go wrong with 10C tickets there ;)
  • Damn, now I'm trying to decide whether to do the 10c presale or just buy them on ticketmaster, because, at 5' 7", the back of the floor would not be ideal. It would be cool to win the lotter tickets, but I'm not sure if I should chance it...

Yes, all 10C seats are decent. The fact that you got in is all that matters. Nothing like being surrounded by people that enjoy the music!
    Too many shows to list:
From my first show in Hawaii when they opened for RHCP to upcoming 2016 MSG and Wrigley. Seen them in every continent except Africa and Antarctica.

I'm taking my girlfriend to both Chicago shows. I'm 6'3', been a member since '96... I'll be ok. But she's 5'3", so she might have issues if we're fairly far back on the floor. I've decided that if we end up on the floor and she has any trouble seeing, I'm going to approach a couple of tall people on the wings to attempt a trade. I'm assuming 10C would be ok with this, right?

So, the 10C seats go further back than row 10 on the floor or no? past row 10 and most peeps would be better off in the wings. does the club usually have most of the floor like the above post says?

  • From the latest News announcement "More Tour Dates Added"...
"Seat allocation for the additional west coast shows will be distributed by membership seniority, with the exception of rows 1-2 and 9-10 which are randomly assigned regardless of seniority."
So what does this mean for the Philly shows? Why do they only allude to the lottery for west coast :?:

The quality of your 10c tix depends on your #, the size/type of venue, & the allotment of 10c seats. Ampitheaters will get u a good seat, no matter what. When it comes to arenas, it can be a crapshoot: My husband joined 10c in '99, & in '06 we ended up in the front wing, Mike's side, at Boston Fleetcenter (GREAT seats!), but last yr at NYC's MSG night 1 we were more than half way back on the floor, & visibility was poor. We also got a 10c pair for night 2 (I don't know what their member # was), & they were at the VERY back of the floor. We could barely see a thing, & we were sitting with 10-clubbers who have been members for years. That being said, if there's a lottery in place, IMHO it's def worth the risk. We won lottery in Hartford last yr (2nd row Stone's side), AMAZING! I joined in '04 & I'm 5' 5.5" tall, I would NEVER try for ONLY public tix, 10c does the best they can to get us the decent seats.

  • Can you see which seats you're buying before you purchase them? I know it said for the lottery that you find out when you pick up your tickets at will call, but is it the same for the regular seats?

They don't know. You don't know until you pick up your tickets.

I think those people clicked the lottery winners thng thinking that they won the 10C lottery presale just by getting trhough and getting tickets.
