    how many in NYC vicinity?
    merely curious....but too lazy...;)

Depending on how you want to slice it...

NYC proper- 13 shows + Ed Sullivan Theater Show
NYS - Add 4 more shows to the above.. (i'm assuming this is uniondale and the 3 jones beach?)

NJ is right across the river from us... they got 16 shows in the same time frame.

    NOT TO BAD!!

well that's what i am saying....NYC vicinity ...meaning, NYC, jersey and long island.
so indeed, i would say with the above mentioned shows.....NYC wins. 8-)

seriously....we had irving plaza, the beacon show too....

and 5 for pittsburgh...dont support filthadelphia so much! come to the cleaner and friendlier city of pittsburgh :D

5 shows in pittsburgh is not a coincidence...in fact it's probably 4 too many
still bitter after getting eliminated by us two years in a row in the stanley cup playoffs i see ;)

    city of champions!!!

you sound like the bitter one since you initially ripped philly. It's OK, philly still has 4 PJ shows coming...and baseball playoffs. don't you wish pittsburgh still had a baseball team?

pittsburgh is a AA city...2 sports. I go there all the time for work, it's a brutal place to visit

Alright, I'll buy the 'Philly-area' thing but to me it's not the same as playing Wachovia - it's in a different state for cripes sakes - for the sake of this post I'll comply but as a general statement I wish the band would start playing Wachovia again when they come to the Philly area like they did in '05.

Giant Stadium is in a different state and the NY teams play there. It's the same thing. Actually camden is closer to philly than the meadowlands are to NY

You're using some skewed math there. Of the 16 NJ shows, 10 are Camden which is 5 minutes from Philly and 2 are Atlantic City which is like 45 minutes from Philly.

The other 4 shows are North Jersey which is more the NYC metro area.

given how i can get to shows on long island, NYC and northern NJ all under an hour.....i 'count' all the shows. and hell, apparently so does pearl jam. ;)

so yea....even removing the camden shows still leaves about 21 for NYC vicinity within the same time frame. then again, i also don't know all the shows ben was/is counting...

    bottomline....

    NYC
    philly
    boston
vicinities have gotten a shit-ton of shows all these years!
and the fact that we all can travel to our sister cities quite easily ( i can get to philly under 2 hours, boston about 4) we get a LOT of love!
i bet LA has fared quite well too.
    we are fortunate fans!

I agree with the Wachovia over Camden sentiment, but to make Camden out to be so far away is absurd. The Tweeter in Camden is closer to Center City Philly than The Wachovia Center is!
