    Am I the only one here who finds it extremely annoying how they have been announcing tour dates as of late? Is it that difficult to PLAN a tour and then announce all the dates at once?...or at least a full leg at once? Somehow I don't think so since its done by most other bands and was once done by this band.

    I'm sure the east coast will get some more dates...it'd be nice to extend the courtesy of letting the fans know the plans so they don't break the bank on one show (Philly) thinking there won't be any more for an extended period of time...but maybe that's just me.

    No. it has been discussed many times for many years now. hopefully they will take this into consideration next time.

    Portland/Vancouver would have been a great weekend trip for many people if they had announced dates properly, but I already have trips to San Diego, Philly and LA (for NIN) planned, and I am looking at Vegas too if that show happens.

    Added show @ Ridgefield WA; added show @ Vancouver BC;
    What about the added rumor show @ Las Vegas NV & added rumor show @ Parts Unknown (somewhere's in the West Coast I believe).

    Where's the official added show @ Philly PA? added show @ Atlanta, GA? or added show @ Halifax NS?

    Without the annual east coast tours, the band would have no money to tour anywhere else.

    I have no problem with them not announcing any more East shows, but if they are they should do it. They said no more shows would be added and now they are doing 2 more west coast; I wonder if the rumored 9/28 SLC show and Boise shows will also be added. Previous tours they announced every show, both legs, at once so you could properly plan. This is the only time they have done this mishmash crap.
    SLC 11/2/95, Park City 6/21/98, Boise 11/3/00, Seattle 12/9/02, Vancouver 5/30/03, Gorge 9/1/05, Vancouver 9/2/05, Gorge 7/22/06, Gorge 7/23/06, Camden I 6/19/08, MSG I 6/24/08, MSG II 6/25/08, Hartford 6/27/08, Mansfield II 6/30/08; Eddie Albany 6/8/09, 6/9/09; Philly 10/30/09, 10/31/09; Boston 5/17/10

    The line in question is about 45 seconds in.
  • When it comes to playing a place like Atlanta, it's not really a "which-coast-they-played-last-tour" discussion. They've played here once since 2000, and that was SIX years ago. Add to it all that Ed seemed to tease the audience during his solo stop here with an inevitable announcement of them touring here this time around. At this point, I can only hope they plan on playing Atlanta when they come back from Australia, etc.

    I didn't take it as they would be back this year- I think he just meant that they would come back eventually. I'm sure they will play ATL in 2010

    The point isn't east coast vs. west coast. It's the completely and utterly B. f'ing S. way "tours" are now announced. It is absolutely inconsiderate to the fan base (whom they know tours with them) to announce shows in this manner. There is no reason a full leg cannot be announced all at once, just like PJ did for 10+ years and every other major touring band on the face of the planet does. At this point I no longer can see how it is the 10c's fault, these have to be Kelly Curtis/Pearl Jam decisions. This has been an issue discussed since 2006. Many have voiced their frustrations since then, and yet every tour it gets more and more absurd. Let's just announce the 2010 tour one date at a time and have everyone guess where and when they might play. It is complete crap. End of story.
