Pearl Jam Ice Cream

Okay guys and gals,
my girl and I were walking through the city yesterday and spontaneously, I just said "Hey! Let's share a banana split! We've NEVER done that."

So we stopped in at Ben & Jerry's. In case you were wondering, the banana split was orgasmic. The flavors? Peanut Butter Cookie Dough, Chocolate Fudge Brownie, and Coffee.

Now, the real meaning of this post...Ben & Jerry's always has some interesting flavors, and some that are branded with the likes of Dave Matthews, The Dead, and Phish.

Maybe this is weird in comparison of bands, but...if these bands get a ice cream flavor...I totally think that Pearl Jam should be the next candidate for flavoring. Now the real question is...what kind of flavor?!?!

Honestly, I imagine it being something fruity. A berry infused flavor of some type.

Any ideas people??

(Oh yeah, we also decided that if PJ doesn't get a flavor, the next band for nomination would be The Black Crowes...in order of following the other two, or three jam bands...if you consider DMB a jam band...)

    Back in the day, there was a multi-page thread about this very thing. Some pretty creative titles and flavors.

    I still can't imagine any flavor being better than Chunky Monkey! :mrgreen:

    Ben and Jerry were from Vermont (same as Phish) and were hippies at heart. So, this all made sense back in the day ...

    That whole vibe is gone now that the ice cream is owned by a super ginormous conglomorate like Unilever (I think they own B&J now).

    Could it happen? Yeah, I'd never 100% bet against it. I'd like to see it.

    Perhaps if they donate a portion of the funds to the surfrider foundation or something.

    How about a coffee influenced flavour cuz of the whole coffee/Starbucks link to Seattle? Or a Jam based flavour?

    I'd like a creamy vanilla custard based ice cream swirled with strawberry jam, mini chocolate guitars and cookie chunks... Mmmmmmm *drools*
    Been to this many PJ shows: Reading 2006 London 2007 Manchester & London 2009 Dublin, Belfast, London, Nijmegen & Berlin 2010 Manchester 1 & Manchester 2 2012...

    ... and I still think Drive-By Truckers are better.

    i'd rather have that than a scoop of pearl jam. there's just too many gross associations that go along with "pearl jam" and i'd never hear the end of it from my parents. plus eddie vedder is pretty lickable :twisted:

    I think to keep with the ""pearl" theme the ice cream should be white like a pearl--like vanilla. unless the bandmates unanimously like chocolate or something--I mean, hey, its THEIR ice cream flavor afterall. I like the idea of some kind of fruit jam mixed in there. or hey, why not avocado ice cream. how great would that be?

    HA nice!!!!! Good ones--I especially like God's Dice Cream, but I think it would have to be a more mainstream song...but I can't think of anything good :-)

    Yeah a berry flavored concoction would make sense. Good Idea!
