ha ha, that's bad, 1stly the "proof" photo is clearly not Ed in 2006. that's like really recent, round the time of VH1 rock honours. 2ndly he is clearly not signing a guitar in the picture. 3rd the sig itself looks pretty bad.

the "prrof" picture is funny since it shows nothing more than him holding a sharpie. (nont actually signing the guitar). Also, the picture of ed looks like it was in his lab coat thing. and it says 2006. He didn't do solo in 1996, did he? Maybe I'm wrong and time has passed more quickly than I thought...lol

I'll never understand the appeal of BUYING something that is autographed. what's the point if you didn't get it signed yourself? just that this item may have been in the hands of the artist/player/entertainer at some point?

    I'll never get it.

I agree 1000%. It's crazy how much money people will pay for something because someone signed their name on it. I cherish the few autographs I have obtained in person over the years but other than that, I don't see what the big deal is.

I 95% agree with you - the other 5% for example would be for something like a signed jersey from your favourite team that won a championship.

I have a signed Liverpool 2005 Champions League jersey that was a birthday/Xmas present for me, and even though I didnt get it in person, it holds pride of place in the loungeroom, purely due to what it represents, and that is my favourite team winning the Champions League.

(and I am well aware that the word favourite is spelt without the 'u' in the US, but I have an Australian keyboard )

exactly. the 2 things I can think of right now that I have signed are a copy of STP's Tiny Music, that I bought at the concert in 1996 ($25 I think), and a Chicago Blackhawks ticket signed by Billy Corgan when I ran into him at the UC. the STP CD doesnt even compare to meeting one of my favorite artists, even though I like both bands about equally (which is a lot).
