For some reason I am not all that optimistic that we'll get more than just those 2 and maybe one more new song. I hope I am wrong...

thats what im thinkin, but they will prolly just blow our minds and do the whole album then we will all hear it, and hype for the album even more, and buy all the bootlegs until the album is released, and buy all the ringtones

If they were smart business men, they would play one new song each night, as to sell as many bootlegs as possible.

Think we will get 3 of the backspacer songs, a bunch of the more popular songs, and some covers. I think Europe will get most of the backspacer catalog over the 5 shows

Yeah, I don't think we will get much. Stone said in that Cleveland interview recently that they are still trying to learn them all to play live- then talked about mastering them for the 2010 tour

  • Yes I think they play some new material. I think that is one of the reasons the bootleg post says it will take a few weeks for them to be mastered so they can play some of the new stuff and not have it totally out there before the album comes out. Hope everyone that goes tonight has a great time. I know I may have to check the relays tonight or at least the setlist come tommorrow. Can't wait for Philly.
So many amazing shows! Thank you.
  • im pretty sure in that in the past they havent played songs that were on upcoming albums while doing shows prior to that albums release, im almost positive they didnt play any s/t songs when they played europe right before it was released...fixer would be nice though...

They played tons of S/T songs when the played Astoria a couple weeks before the album ws released. I can't see them waiting until Seattle to play other new songs.

In August 1993 they played at the Max Bell Arena in Calgary and played at least 6 new songs off their upcoming release Vs. which was still about a month and a half away from being released. Even finished the show with Indifference. I'll never forget it!

Here's hoping we get some new stuff tonight!
E agora? Faz xixi na mão e deita fora!
  • i think they will start the new songs after the album is out
there is no way they will wait till 2010 tour and hold out , they are going out to promote a new album

    I think they'll play 2-3.

They probably know that any new songs they play will be on YouTube like five minutes after they play them, so they most likely don't want to spoil what some of the songs will sound like.

Festival=greatest hits set. Doubt even the fixer will beplayed. pj arent that kind of 'here's our new single' kind of band.

But, they're also unpredictable as fuck so you never know.

I think they'll play most of the album by the time it comes out. I think they'll ease us into it for sure, though.

they played almost the entire album at the astoria before s/t was released (I think only Come Back missed - but might be wrong)
Now it all comes down to numbers, now I'm glad that I have quit
Folks these days just don't do nothing simple for the love of it

They will be ripe and ready by the time they hit Australia with the new stuff. We're getting them at the sweet spot of the tour, should know the new songs by then. I'd rather hear new stuff when I know it, not before.
