    Before I get started, I will be any Pearl Jam show within an hour of my house for the rest of my life, and most shows within 3 hours drive. I am going to both Spectrum shows, but from a common local angle, there are people who have been spending good money from scalpers, and MANY people who bought tickets just because it is the last concert at the Spectrum. NOT only because it is Pearl Jam like all of us here in the pit do... I think the prospect of a show on the 31st is pretty messed up for the people who have gotten tickets for the 30th already, who were assuming it is the last night at the Spectrum for MANY OBVIOUS reasons. While MOST (Not super-fans like most of us) people will attend one show, due to the expense, or simply not interested to go out multiple nights in one week to see concerts, I am SURE that you can ask anybody who has tickets for Friday if they would be mad about a Saturday show being added, 9 out of 10 of those people would be pissed. It sucks that there has been so much speculation over the past month about this possibility, because it detracts from peoples' being excited to go see Pearl Jam. Why would the shows not be announced all at one time?????????? I know about 30 people who are going to this show, and EVERY one of them said "It is the last concert at the Spectrum, AND it is Pearl Jam!"
    There is my rant. I understand that it doesnt matter to most people here. I read the sentiments about majority of people wanting a Halloween show, but I am speaking from an everyday persons' perspective, not the "Super-fan" perspective. 16,000 seats are not all filled by fan clubbers, peeps. Gotta look at it that way, too

    I highly doubt you would feel that way if the gorge or key arena would be turned into a parking lot

    there are philly fans that hold the spectrum near and dear to there heart and wanna be at the last spectrum show and soak up whatever they have left of the venue.

    I really can see how that would be a fucking BLAST!!! Okay, you convinced me, Pearl Jam and the crowd all in costume - I'm sold!! For picture sake alone, I hope this show happens. :)

    Yes I would want a Halloween show.

    Yes, I have tickets for both shows already and would be slightly pissed if I have to shell out some more dough to see them.

    YES, I would be ultra-pissed(if that even can describe the level of disappointment) If I ended up not getting a ticket to the Halloween show after I was so hype thinking I was closing the Spectrum with PJ.

    But, whatever....Life moves on and there will be other shows. The bigger picture out there is that it is not OUR choice, it is the band's and we shouldn't be so greedy about it. We should be thanking our lucky stars that they will probably come back next year to Camden and put on 2 great shows as usual.

    I am just greatful that I get to see some kickass shows with a good number of friends and I get to donate to a good cause while I am at it. It is rewarding enough for me to be able to be in this position in life, I suggest the same thought process for the others.

    Whatever show you get to see will be great.
    I suggest we divert our negative energy and start a petition to have the Spectrum shows taped....If not for posterity but for a gift down the road.

    i don't see how people really didn't expect a third show, if there were to be only 2, why would there be a day off instead of two in a row.

    the only time since i've been seeing the band (11 years now) that this happened is east rutherford in 06, and the 10c did do a lottery for the 3rd show but it never happened because one of the first two shows sold poorly.

    There was also Mansfield 08.

    I hope that there's a third Philly show because it's another chance to see Pearl Jam and I'd get to see them on Halloween again...10 years after the first time (Bridge 99).

    mansfield doesn't count because there was the beacon show on 7/1. so that just fits my theory there is only a day off if there is going to be 3 shows. 6/28, 6/30, 7/1.

    Who ever says no has lost there mind. This might be the dumbest thread i've read in a long time. Besides flyinwhole313 thread that sparked this one. I could care less when and how many times they play philly as long as the ARE playing philly,the more the better.
