I came across this mp3 and I was just wondering if anyone knew the history of it? It's absolutely gorgeous btw but I don't know if it's ok to post a link here for download?

My sister found it ages ago and only just thought to pass it onto me yesterday! She thought I'd already had it or something! But I didn't know they recorded this together. When did it happen? Is it Layne on the song? Who wrote it?

Does anyone know anything about this recording? And more importantly, is there anything else from this session that I'm missing?! What else did they record together?

x-posted to the haven.

Really? OMG, it sounds so much like Eddie. :o Genuinely. Was it meant to be a joke or something? Tell me more details please!

  • I never thought it sounded like Ed but the guy doing the background vocals def sounds like Lyane..so much so that AIC should of grabbed this guy!!

    it's an awesome tune though.

I really don't think it sounds that much like Eddie. At times, sure.

Anyway, there's not much too it other than file sharing programs like Limewire and the like are absolutely full of mislabelled songs, whether by accident or on purpose, who knows!

There have been a load of similar threads like this in the past I believe. The real band probably find it pretty annoying that so many people will never know it's them.

So you're telling me Pearl Jam didn't sing "Lightning Crashes?"
And I listen for the voice inside my head... nothing. I'll do this one myself.

An infamous mislabeled tune is Nirvana and Pearl Jam playing "My Sharona." I remember almost doing cartwheels when I first saw that on Napster back in the day. But it turned out to be just Nirvana playing it and the sound quality was horrible.

I think it's been around since the early days of Napster..... ARRRRRRRRRRRRRR, the old days of pirating.
