Lets face it. After the release of the new album they will have 150 something songs in their catalog, plus a shitload of covers. They can't do it all anymore, nor should we expect them to.

There's the obvious they'll never pull out like Bugs and Foxymorphin.. but I'm talking about songs that were once in rotation, or at least played a few times.

We can start by the obvious.. Bushleaguer.. I'm going to say Rival too.

Matt was just talking about possibly playing some rival this tour. Says it's one of Jack's he's been working on...

Thats convincing and all except, Rival was a Matt era song. Matt drummed on Binaural.. unless Jack wrote it a few years earlier.

i believe Matt was inferring that in addition to breaking out Rival he'd also like to break out some Jack Irons-era songs,...

Ultimately, it will be up to Ed. lol.. I think if the new album becomes huge with mainstream, Ed will be more inclined to play rare, less mainstream songs.. unless he's over that stage.

I don't that that many songs will drop off from the current playlist. I think to this point if they've play any songs 3 or more times a tour than they'll continue playing those songs 3 or more times a tour, and the ignored songs will continue to be ignored. Of course their tours now consist of 4 cities a continent, so there aren't as many shows to fit all the songs.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Army Reserve and Parachutes completely drop off the face of earth ...

Both really good songs in my opinion.. I think Army Reserve will get a few more plays before this war is over.. parachutes may get an acoustic appearance.

I love both songs too, but the truth is that neither is easy to pull of live.

I'd also be surprised to hear Pilate or No Way ever show up again.

I wouldn't feel safe saying "never" about most any song in the catalog. My God, I heard "Bee Girl" on the Avocado tour, fer crissakes.

Bushleaguer might be as close to retired as you're going to get. We'll see.
everybody wants the most they can possibly get
for the least they could possibly do
