I played golf growing up all the time. In high school I got to be a scratch golfer and then got burned out the game and decided to pick up a guitar. Fast forward almost ten years and I'm starting to get back into it. I'm amazed how a good chunk of my game is still there.

Question though, where is there a decent place for some cheaper clubs? I hit my cousins driver last week and I loved it. I've never put much faith into technology bettering someones game, but I think I'm sold now. It's a Titleist 907 D2 with the UST proforce V2 stiff shaft, 75 gram weight, and half inch longer than standard. I'm a tall guy with a quick swing so I need a stiff shaft. I've looked into ebay and there are some deals out there but I guess you never know what you are getting on there.

I have the Titleist 907 D1, and I love hitting it. I absolutely kill it with that. I'd try some websites like golfsmith.com or other discount golf sites. Maybe try a Golf Galaxy store or something comparable. The plus about finding a store is that you can test the clubs before buying.

Yeah, I'd go to your local golf shop and try out a bunch of different drivers and irons. Find out which ones you like then go to some of those sites the second poster mentioned.

I'm kind of the same way.

I used to play golf at least twice a week growing up and into college. I went a year without playing, then played a round with my dad and now I have the itch again!

Sucks because right now, it's 113 during the day so hitting the links can be tough.
Though, here in Scottsdale, if you can handle the heat, you can plays some of the best courses in the country for 1/10th of what they cost normally (or when it gets cooler).

I buy all my equipment on ebay. I'm not as good as I used to be, but I'm still around an 8-10 handicap. I've bought a ton of golf stuff and never gotten burned. Just make sure you deal with a seller with a good reputation and you can get some great deals.
I wish I was as fortunate, as fortunate as me.

i've had good luck on ebay, so i'd say go ahead and start there. i ended up trying out 5 sets of irons over a couple months and was able to resell them all on ebay for what i paid for them.

i just got the new 907 D2 driver, its pretty sweet. mine has the diamana shaft which i really like.

good luck getting back into the "swing" of things

If you don't mind me asking, what did you get the 907 D2 for?
