I am as bummed about this GA thing as the next disgruntled 10 clubber but I think we need to look at the bright side.....PJ down under in the open. Saying this we as 10 c members need to band together and look after each other on the nights of the concerts. Seeing that we are going to get in early introduce yourself to another member and watch out for each other. If you need to go to the loo, get a beer or a feed tell the clubber next to you to mind your spot, I think this is the least we can do for each other to ensure we have a great night and one to remember.

I was thinking about how many might go to this concert and I came to the conclusion from the 06 concerts in Brisbane that there might be around 20000 attending, this is only a guess so how many will the GA hold you think?

theoretically with the size of the floor at QE2, you could easily fit 15,000 on the floor alone, but i doubt it would be that many. i've heard the riverstage holds 15,000 and i think the floor at QE2 would be bigger then that. like you can fit a full size footy field in there, plus the 800 meter running track around the outside of that, it's big.

EDIT: QSAC includes a 49,000 seat main stadium. so that doesn't even include the floor, you could fucking fit 60,000 in there easily. good luck pearl jam.

Depending on the set up of the stage and seating they wont use the whole the stadium they will either place the stage at the Northern end and use the seating in a d shape in line with the stage , have GA in front of the stage or they could face it towards the Western stand and do the same with more seating. I just bought tickets to the super x at QSAC in December to see Chad Reed take on James "Bubba" Stewart, the number 1 and 2 riders in the world, this is the first time in history two riders of this calibre have ridden outside the US in this format, in saying this they are only using a quarter of the stadium. I cant see PJ using or filling QSAC.

the stage will be at the south end facing north, i think it's the only way they are allowed to have due to residential areas around QE2.

Anyone seen that movie that has footage of the crazy Aussies breaking down the venue fences? I think no GA down under is a good call. And for the record I have no idea what I am talking about so don't ask.

Yes, but that was back in the wild old days of the Myer Music Bowl, I think it was the 1995 concert (Melbourne). One which I didn't go to (unbearable thought). Crowd control and security will be so much stricter now than it was back then, so don't worry. I doubt that there'll be a repeat of that sort of thing, especially after the Roskilde disaster. We are all gonna having a great time, GA or no GA. I'm looking forward to my first GA PJ concerts!
  • I think the Irish pub at Garden City shopping centre sounds pretty good for an after concert drink.

  • ⁃ AU/NZ Ten Club tickets are GENERAL ADMISSION/STANDING. EARLY ENTRY WITH WRISTBAND, DETAILS TO FOLLOW.
Just curious about the DETAILS TO FOLLOW. DO you think this may mean we get our own section, what do you reckon?

We'll have to wait and see, as ticketek have like 2 GA sections for sale if i read right. "fixer" or "backspacer"
Would be great of 10c down in OZ / NZ had our own section, but we'll have to wait for the "details to follow"
which I hope we get soon.

    i really don't think there will be a 10 only G.A section.

there will be two G.A's like what is stated on ticketek site, but normally they split the field pretty close to the middle, maybe a bit closer to the front. but i doubt a 10 club only G.A. section. there just won't be the numbers to justify it, in the eyes of the promoter anyway.
