I just bought this on iTunes....
I saw a new section on iTunes titled Digital 45s. So I clicked on it and bought Otis Redding The dock of the bay. The picture on the album artwork looks very familiar. Where have I seen this symbol in the center of the picture before? Anyone help, wasn't on something PJ before? By the way I am an idiot and can't seem to cut and paste the album artwork in here. Someone check it out and tell me where I saw it before. thanks to all.

thats the photo from itunes, its a 45 record insert. its been associated with pearl jam a little bit, and music in general. Spin.com uses the logo a lot on there website.
maybe this will demonstate it ...

BINGO!! While I know it "really" is a spacer that you popped in the middle of your 45 singles in order to play them on the turntable. However being a major Crowes fan that I am, when I first saw the image I immediately thought the dude had to be thinking of the Three Snakes and One Charm album.
You still listening to 'em? They're getting ready to drop a new album in Sept as well.
Peace,
RM
The other "thingy" comes with a regular modern turntable. The "inserts" we're discussing were used for record players that didn't have their own "thingy". Most people in the 70's had record players that were built into one unit with a cassette player, 8-track player and radio. The needles were cheap and sounded like shit. The "inserts" would come in packages and you would snap them into your favorite 45 records, then attatch a magnetic arm at the top of the long center spindle. The records would then automatically slide down the spindle and play in succession. It was a vile contraption compared to today's technology.
Then buy a package and use them instead.

I do miss my 45's though.

This is what your brain may be referencing.... The single "Spin The Black Circle" cover art.
I like your avatar....that is Griffey Jr rookie card 1989 UPPER DECK!
I had 1 of those cards when they were going for $300+ back in the early 90's.....i sold em all and made a killing right before they tanked in value
THAT MIGHT BE THE FUNNIEST THING I HAVE READ ON HERE , CONGRATS.
