for those of u who actually got all the pices of the puzzle.....how fuckin good Speed of sound is? uhm? is it just me or it s a great freakin song? i just cant stop listenin to it...

it's fantastic. i'm anxious to hear what the full band version sounds like. i thought the magazine that leaked the tracklisting said it was a mid-tempo.

I could definitely see the pace picked up a notch on the chorus, especially the last two stanzas. For some reason, I would also like to see the finger picking eliminated or pushed to the background. I have nothing against fingerplay, but for some reason in this case I would like to go without it.

Unless the other six songs are no good, this album looks like a winner.

Music is subjective, we all have our opinions...and we must respect everyones opinion....

To me this song is boring, slow, not structured properly, and just flat out something nobody would ever hear if it wasnt a PJ tune.....

The demo is gorgeous. I can't wait to hear what this turns into on the album, but I'm totally grateful to the band for giving us this beautiful version.

It took about 5 listens to get into it which is nothing new for me.
But once you catch all the hooks, it's good. Very good.

i like it, but it doesnt really stick with me. For some reason, unlike Gone, I think this song can really use the rest of the band, especiallly the end. If they ramp it up at the end, this song could be epic!

Like it... I had to get used to the melody, but fell in love with the lyrics. I'm very curious about the meaning of the "speed of sound". It seems to mean something, or be a methaphore of something, but the meaning deludes me. (Any opinions.) I think that this song is interlinked with Supersonic; two pieces of one song... (Or maybe lyrically at least...)
