i wish the fixer had a longer-stronger ending with matt taking over the drum set like he did at the end of save you. i would really enjoy that.

Maybe the album version won't fade out.. It would be cool if it were like 15 to 20 seconds longer with and awesome drum jam to end it.

I have a feeling the versions on the bootlegs from this fall will have a better ending than the fade out

Folks, you're listening to the album version. Why would they put out a studio version that ISN'T the album version? Makes no sense.

As others said, I'm sure the ending will be more suitable live.

  • it sucks, but i'm sure once they let Mike off the leash and go crazy with it live (and strip out all the lame 80s production), it will be pretty cool.

But yeah, I'm pretty sure this is the album version. especially considering how short Backspacer is.

i am really baffled by the whole fade out thing. its just unnatural.

I guess. It's not the first time they've used this tactic, though.

I wish The Fixer had a strong and melodic chorus and then it would be A+. Now more like B-.

The chorus is the best part!

I wish 80's albums had this good of production. I seriously have no idea what you mean by 80's production.

I've never minded fade outs when I am listening to an album straight through. If you have your record player turned up loud enough, the songs bleed into one another, adds to the cohesiveness imh.

I think right ater the line 'Whats saved could be one last life time', it hints and doing something different and then just goes right back to where it started. They could have turned that into something special if they didn't just quit on the song right there. Oh well, it is what it is. Hopefully the fad isn't as abrupt but I doubt it will be any different.
  • the best part is the end! you know, when it ended!

im sorry i couldnt resist. I'll get out of here now.
