SD hotel heads up

For those traveling to SD, there is a large convention in town (american assoc. for cancer research) that has soaked up most of the hotels near the venue. I found this place which had good reviews and located a short distance from the the venue. Hope this helps.

    There is also a nice/clean Days Inn near the Sports Arena that is only $65 per night.. Has free shuttle to airport too.. The Gaslamp District is fun and we will be down there for the show anyway, but all the hotels are sold out there.. This hotel is near the beach and only about 3 miles from the venue.. It is also a $5 cab ride to Ocean Beach where there are lots of great bars and fun people that are very in tune to EV and Pearl Jam...

    I ran into the same problem. I don't know the area, but I got a reservation in this B&B in Little Italy. Seems to be a short cab ride from the venue and the prices are reasonable.

    Yeah... thats about a block and a half away. :) Glad you found something too. I was beginning to stress.

    Little Italy is nice.. close too.. I just like the Point Loma/Days Inn for price and proximity to Ocean Beach, Downtown, and Airport..

    The 500 West Hostel is in walking distance from Spreckles and it's only $56 a night through here: http://hotel-guides.us/

    However if you go to their offical web site you'll end up paying $66 a nite.
