Bible on the work desk

So this older lady that sits next to me at work is obviously having a bad day. Some other lady came up to her cube this morning to just chat and was told " Girl, I'm not in the mood today".

So I just walk by her desk and she has a Bible laying open on her desk.

I'm all for people doing whatever they have to do to find strength and ………….whatever. Myself, I don’t go to the Bible for that, but more power to her.

I was just thinking though, that if your day is that bad at 9am in the morning that you have to have a Bible open on your desk to look down at for the strength and will
to keep going that day, you HAVE to be one coffee spill or dropped donut away from losing it !

Her and I usually talk a bunch throughout the day, needless to say , I'll be keeping my distance today. :D

    The bible is just a book like many other books people pick up to read a line or thought to make the day go by. No different than people with free time that go on a music site to make the day go by. The site of a bible on someone's desk wouldn't bother me in the least just formulated words to help that person through the day, that's IF they pick it up to read it.

    oh , it dont bother me. she is just sorta making a show out of being in a bad mood. a bit o' drama.

    the Bible just looks like a prop to me at this point. i just thought it was kind of funny, and i imagined her going off Sam Jackson/Pulp Fiction style :o

    I have the Bible at work. It's in my cabinet. Sometimes my coworker leaves me religious pamphlets and we're different religions. I like reading her stuff, actually.

    wow at least is just the bible on her desk, i found a friend praying "in tongues" while he was taking a piss... Praying in the bathroom is one thing (a really weird one) but that was just f'ng nuts, hillarious and painful.
