PJ Karaoke...any good stories?
I actually was able to get out of the house last weekend, as a college buddy was coming to town, and another friend organized a "hang-out" at a local dive. but it was karaoke night and i was shocked when there were 3 PJ songs in the mix...a-la-binders. first time i had seen this.
so I had Jeremy, Given to Fly, and I Got I.D. to choose from. I'm no karaoke whore, but I had to do this...I went for GTF as I felt I could do this with my eyes closed, and let my "stellar" eddie wanna-be voice blast the bar. went ok, sept. the fact I decided to stare at the screen here and there, and then got flustered when it wasn't all packaged like the original. shoulda kept my eyes off it and gone for the gold.
anyone else have fun with this? I'm now practicing I Got ID for my next venture there. jeremy would be too generic.

i was at a bar celebrating my 21st birthday with a lot of my friends and they had a good cover band playing all different bands. my friend asked if they could play pearl jam for me (because they are my favorite band) and the lead singer got on the mic and called out my name and told me to come on stage and sing a pearl jam song. he told me they could play yellow ledbetter, black or small town. I decided on small town because i couldn't even begin to attempt the words on yellow without sounding completely drunk and i just dont have the voice for black.
overall i think it went well and it was so fun to sing with that band behind me and a somewhat decent sized crowd. it was a good birthday present!
Hubby got up one night- brave soul- not drunk enough for sure
Did World Wide Suicide- I was proud- it was ok and a good first try
then the guy with the machine starts in before he's even off the stage and nails
Alive and the crowd goes wild.
Just made my husband feel a little bad but hes over it now and been practicing
