Luxury box food is the worst. At Trailblazers games a cheese and meat tray is $65.

How else do you expect them to pay for their state of football stadium? That pizza must have some medicinal values baked in it.

Is it $90 for one average sized pizza? or enough to feed the box?
I've seen $75 wings...but it (supposedly) fed the whole box. There were only 50 wings or something ridiculous...but it wasn't like it was a pound of wings for $75.

Hope that was a joke because the Giants are doing seat licenses.

This new Cowboys stadium is unbelievable. Too bad I will probably never be able to set foot in it.

Yeah, the new stadium may be unbelievable but they are pricing out so many fans. This PSL stuff along with these ticket prices has gotten so out of hand. But in football crazy areas like Dallas, NY, Chicago, Philly, etc.., they can pretty much charge whatever they want and people will still come.

    Loved this comment:

The Cowboys can sell all the $800,000 sky boxes and $90.00 pizzas they want; I still expect them to watch the 09 Super Bowl from the comfort of their own sofas. Looser's!

Yeah I know. I am thinking of the Yankees new stadium and wondering if the Cowboys stadium will be like that - with all the empty seats down low and the real fans stuck in the upper levels.

    PSLs are a shame.

Well, they ain't calling that place JerryWorld for nothing. I don't expect to ever set foot in it either, not even for a concert.

I just want to see what happens when the season starts. I'm wondering how long the excitement will last.

PSL's are a real shame. I'm lucky to have a friend who has 10 Bears season tickets in his family and I get to about 3-4 games at face value.

I doubt the new Cowboys place will be like the new yankee stadium. Only 8 home games a year compared to 81 home games for baseball.

$60 or $90, if I can afford to watch the game from a suite I'm not worrying about the price of the food.

Isn't food outrageously expensive at any sports venue? I always have the option of eating my pizza before I go to the stadium or better yet, staying home.

$90 includes a cheerleader delivering the pizza, and you get to eat the pizza off of her.....oh, I'd better stop!

my best friends seats cost $12,500 each FOR THE RIGHT to by tickets which tripled in price. And the Giants in no way needed a new stadium.
  • Hahahah this thread reminds me of my trip to Germany senior year of high school during spring break of 04. A bunch of friends and I went...had a layover at Gatwick so spent a day in London....we ate at Pizza Hut of all places haha and our one friend John's bill for his pizza was $40. We dont know if they screwed him over or he ordered an expensive one somehow or what but he was always losing things and forgetting tickets...it was hilarious.

Haha. Yeah, its been a tough decade of Bills football. The whole tailgate scene at Bills games is really spectacular, especially since about 15 of my closest friends are also season ticket holders. So the games are almost more of an excuse to get together and drink, play bean bag toss, BBQ, boo at random things, etc...

Of course the Bills always have a way of drawing you in where you actually start to care and have hope.... then dash it away painfully, Thats what sucks.

Anyways. Oddly I had a dream last night where I attended a game in the new Dallas stadium. All the lower seats were empty and the temptation to buy and taste a $90 pizza was very strong.

    I did.

Now it has worn off and I have assumed my normal enemies of NYC teams and Boston teams (I dont hate the Red Sox though).

I dont mind Dallas so much since the Cowboys' dynasty ended. Jerry Jones is pretty unlikeable... but Im in Philly a lot and anyone winning the Division other than the Fecals, Id be happy.

As far as the Stars go, I have actually liked a number of their teams in the past few years and their regional broadcast is IMO the best in the NHL.

But yeah, that was some painful, total ownage of one city over another.

Fecals - thanks! I'll have to use that.

The Stars are very lucky to have Ralph and Razor as the broadcast team. I think they are the best too.

its everything else with the Stars too. The HD/picture quality, where the cameras are situated, the lighting in the home arena, presentation, how the sound or the crowd, music, pa, on ice sound is captured. No other American markets get it down as well. I love out PBP man in Buffalo (RJ), but the MSG broadcasts are awful.
  • Not to defend the Cowboys, but usually food for Suites is subcontracted out to another company: Aramark, Marriott, Sodexho, etc. So the heat going on the Cowboys really should go to their food contractor, but that doesn't grab the headlines, so Cowboys it is.

That and it is also ridiculous that the entire sports nation goes nuts over a story that isn't even true.

Some of the blogs and Yahoo Sports admitted it but by that point it was too late.

Just goes to show you that quick access to news isn't always a good thing. That Nebraska blogger made something up and before you know it the whole world is slamming Jerry and Cowboys over a false report.

And not to defend them either, but their food prices are not out of line with what you pay at the other marquis stadiums in the country.
